Hi,
After about 5 minutes into the game all of the targets on the tactical display dissapear. Have I overlooked something in the setup?

I'm running the game on WinXP Home.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.
We need just a little more detail. 

1)  What type of ship or is it all types

2)  What speed are you going when you check

3)  What range is the big tactical set to display (bottom right corner)

Hi East,
It happens in campaign2 when commanding a sub.

Dosn't matter what speed or range the tack is set to, the convoy dissapears.

Usually I'm on 4k range and approx 6Knots.

Taking a look at it you are going to fast for your hydrophone guy to "hear" the convoy beyond about 500meters.
Try putting the sub to 1/3 when you are underwater, set the big tactical to 4k and wait for a full sweep.  If you still don't see them drop to all stop.  Everything should pop onto the screen.

Another question - are the enemy visible on the tactical when the periscope is up?

I have seen this too on a few occasions.
In general, it occurs when I click the "Clear" button to clear my waypoints.

The waypoints clear and so does everything else on the RADAR/ASDIC (lol).

The only way to get the RADAR/ASDIC working again is to close the game and re-start.

Its fairly infrequent though.

If they don't refresh it's because you are probably going to fast in a submerged submarine.  Your hydrophone guy can't hear anything with all the racket from your own boat going on.
