Pop: How I join USAAC Team Speak for password and instructions, thanks Jerry email me at dannylclineusmc@verizon.net,,,,,,PS: since this is only atest event, why the big secretcy for a password, if it is open to all pilots? I think they should only use passwords for inside Squadrons only!, this gets very confusing with me and probally other newbies jumping from page to page and web site to website like a "Chicken with our heads cut off! Thnks, Jerry

well flt93

when the event launch shows up, the team speak link

Is at the bottom of the launch page.

password is because this is a test and I dont want to be telling the rules five times

When you join teamspeak you get the password, and the instructions will be givin out

on team speak all at the same time.

This way anyone joining understands that this is a test as we may have to work out bugs or make changes during the test.

Hey Pop; Gottcha, will follow those instructions, however, thre seems to be a problem with this site, pertaining to "Log In" specifically, when I come on to the regular AA site to log in, I have no problem whatsoever!, so at the top I choose US Air Attack Community, It takes me right to it, Nowthen, on this home page, it has "Guest Nic, and member's place optional nic & optional password, anyway, I enter user log in name the one I used to register with, and my personal password, when I click connect, go, or proceed or whatever, a page comes up, "Error Page" or incorrect password or "There is no user name by any member! So in order to get on this site, I have to go through, "click on "Forums", now since it thinks I'm a guest, will not allow me to view posts, but it prompts me to enter user name and password, It accepts once in a blue moon, sometimes it rejects, and I hit the forgot password, so I enter my email that I registered with, and it sends me a new one, and also with the web address to log in with the new one, I click on it afyter copying the new password sent to me by email, once it sends me automatically to that web site given that I clicked on, I log in my name and it's password!, Guess what, this mickey mouse system says " There is no member with that user name and I retried, and it said the 3rd time, incorrect password!!!!!! Can you beat that, so as usuall, I have to go back at least 6 times wearing my key board keys out typing in the exact same thing over and over, "Finally it says welcome or welcome back "Flt93_LetsRoll", that is what I'm doing here now, to see a post answer from you or whatever, Thank you for your courteous reply, however, I just hope come the event to "Launch from this site instead of the standard AA site, if I will even be able to log in here without difficulty and or "Launch" like everyone else! I do not mean to nag you or make your job any more complicated then it already is, it's just that being 10 years in the Marine Corps taught me something, and that is, "Ok Troops listen up, were going on a long range recon mission tonite at 2300 hrs, thats 10 hrs from now, our op is hill 881, small arms only 2 clips max full, 2 canteens water, lock & load, prepare to fallout at 2300 hrs from our 260! Now, can you immagine, if my CO never gave any of the troopers a key to the armory, we are going on a mission and what to take with us, but CO informs us, well boys, I'm keeping the key ubtill 2300 hrs, then you will have a few minuets to get your heads and asses wired together! hee hee hee hee. Now I ask you Pop, in all fairness, since I'm the new kid on the block, how hard is it and how much time does it take to "Good Ole Email" the password and instructions? Like I said, there is a major malfunction with this web page, and I know it's not me hitting the wrong keys either! In conclusion, Since I have already entered this event, I will just have to see if I'm able to log in in time and Launch from here, and if not, well so be it, it's not the end of the world life goes on. Jerry 😵

1) Seeing how you have posted here .. if your having problems then it is probably that you don't have 'session' cookies turned on in MSIE Internet Options. Session Cookies are necessary.

2) Your reply is ONE LONG BLOB.. hard to read, easy to get lost. Please, break up your post a little bit with a double space or paragraph between main thoughts. Try and not 'rabble on'... if you want help.. or want someone to read your post :)

3) Testing .. is just that testing. This is not life of death. Praticality dictates .. that it is really not possible for Popgun to email everyone, and besides .. the password is part of the test. He does not want to give out the password in advance, only right before the test or what would be an event.

4) Launching from USAAC has no connection with the USAAC forums. When you launch from USAAC it is exactly the same process as launching from any community site. We all share the same launch point regardless of where you are in the world. Getting to that launch point ... the local community, which are all independent and all have their own systems .. but do tend to all work the same. for USAAC however, you do need to allow session cookies as previously stated.

Hope all this helps as you seem to have an 'aggravation' about you :)

Tut tut, Flt93. How dare you attempt to usurp T'Bar's position as USAAC's chief prevaricator. Image

Sorry T'Bar m8. You do a great job Image but you do tend to run on a little and some of your posts verge on pontification. Image

Incidentally, I also have been frustrated by the site's constant requests for login verifications. The reasons for this may be clear to webmaster gurus but are not always immediately obvious to the technically challenged.

In conclusion, allow me once again to thank you, T'Bar for your efforts on behalf of our humble community and forgive me for a little gentle chain pulling. Image

If your using MSIE .. be sure session cookies are allowed.

Commentary:

I never lie or evade a truth. I am opinionated at times, no doubt. Please .. lets stay on topic, you can always open open up a 'bash tbar' thread.

Pop & Tbar;

OK, "No Rambling", to the point>1. "Cookies", for this site I have very low security set & allow cookies even from your grandmother to me!.>(Still got IE's error Page, trying to activate Team speak)

2. missed the event trying to find out stupid password & instructions!

3. In reply to Tbar's comment "Aggravated," I do not have an attitude problem, I'm just a peon with no rank and power, and or an little indian with too many chiefs, "Aggravated", "Hummmmm, let me think for a sec, Ok I would rather be p----- off then to be p----- on!

4. All the previous posts by me and your replys were a waste of all our time and typing them.

5. In reply to Tbar's comment pertaining to wanting pop to email me the password & instructions, my reply: typical answer to get around doing one's job, I'm not staff with access to all scuttlebutt (gossip, rumor, imfo & etc) I did not expect pop to email every pilot imfo, just an exception in this case, untill I sought help from support.

6. In conclusion and all do respect & fairness: This is only a Game online web site for general public participation, not ran by "NORAD" and or the Pentagon's Chief of Staff, I only wanted some one to assist me in preparation of this event, after all Guides and Support can not help me, unless pop gave them the password right?, and if any one made this into a mountain out of a mole hill, sure the hell was not me, I only wanted help, and got none as a newbie!

Now, is this simple enough for you Tbar?, or do I have to ressurrect Helen Keller and submit it in braiel and have her interpret it for ya! "Aggravated" makes me think you were a therapist in your former life or palm reade, in other words, don't try to get in my head and figure me out, "Your effortless help would have been more appreciated sticking to the issue at hand on resolving it for me, not intentionally avoiding the issue! get my drift? if not, no problem, event is over anyway, and too late to 2nd guess as to why I never recieved assistance! I fail to see why this is so hard to figure out.

In my first reply I feel I made this simple.

when the launch appears, at the bottom were it says get ( password) and has a link button

to team speak. If you dont have team speak then you should download it.

It can be found on the central site and here and on the german site.

we use team speak for bomber events and testing new events.

This way we use team speak to tell the rules one time.

Using a password insures anyone coming in will get the rules told to them with the password.

I dont want to have to type out the rules to late comers because they dont have team speak.

In a normal event there is no password for the main players.nor do they have to have team speak.

But in a test I want to talk and not type.

So if you want to help out with event testing you need to get team speak.its free!!

So please lets drop the subject now.

Pop
