http://www.airattack.co.uk/club/modules.ph...pic&t=27858 Finally TBAR admited he own TIDES OF WAR Gaming site. All this time, he always claim to had no ties with TIDE OF WAR Gaming site, but they were nice enough to let him use their site for his TOW squad. And that explains why he put US Air Attack forums on Tides of War site. So his website would generate more hits. I knew something was very fishy at the very beginning when he put US Air Attack on TOW forums. When he could have very easily gave us our own private forums. But instead, he went into a very long song and dance reply, like he always does.

thanks,

Nitro

Nitro My Friend .. do you have ears?

Can your retain what you hear and read?

Do you just like to see your name on the forums?

Do you just like to be the center of attraction?

Are you just proving to us all that you are ... what your avatar suggests?

What is your game? Why don't you just go talk to some CO's and XO's and other officals and get input .. why not just express any concerns to them. Why do you have to attack and make accusations and stire something up when there is no need?

If I (Tbar) quit the BSS squad, quit playing AA, resigned and servered all ties with the USAAC .. would you then be satisfied? What would be the next non-issue you feel needs to be stired up? Who would be next on your personal hit list? I realize you are hurt because you have been 'discharged' from several groups within AA. You feel that you should be in some position of power and have constant spot light upon you, it is not my doing that has not come to pass but your own. Please, do find a quite corner and sulk .......... people are just tired of this kind of posting and banter.

For those that might feel some answer is appropriate, I'll try. But rest assured no matter what answer is given .. it would not be good enough, clear enough or satisfactory for Nitro .. but here goes anyway.

1) I have never .. ever .. claimed to have "no ties" with Tides of War. Totaly Rediculous. Anyone .. that knows anything .. about Tides of War or me "knows" I am one of the Administrators. Nearly everyone knows that I am the CO of the BSS which is a 'sponsored' battle group with Tides of War. Why do you think they used a ToW tag?? Yes, TowNet and the ToW Club agreed to opening up the BSS as an Air Attack Club.. and further more they agreed last month to let us open a second AA Battle Group. Geee .. more pilots and more positives .. guess that is bad eh?

(To Caveman: A simple and basic domain name search will tell .. even a caveman.. that I am connected to Tides of War .. as well as airattack.us Does that mean I own USAAC? I think not. It is just a simple fact that you can't have a domain name unless someone owns it .. someone or some entitity has to own a domain)

2) TowNet is the controlling entity of Tides of War. TowNet is three individuals. TowNet takes care of all the legals and technicals. The 'Tow Club' administrates all things that are public and visible within the Tides of War website as well as gaming servers and membership control. It is TowNet ... not Tides of War that was kind enough to setup USAAC and host this site. Tbar "DID NOT DO THAT WORK". TowNet Staff did all that work and set up the server side to accommodate the full domain of airattack.us . Yes, they were kind enough to do so. Yes, I asked them to approve it. So .. what is the beef? You want to look a gift horse in the mouth?

3) Quoting the cave man
And that explains why he put US Air Attack forums on Tides of War site. So his website would generate more hits. I knew something was very fishy at the very beginning when he put US Air Attack on TOW forums. When he could have very easily gave us our own private forums. But instead, he went into a very long song and dance reply, like he always does.
You really are a cave man level thinker..

Tides of War has a google rating .. USAAC does not. So it is the USAAC that hurts the google rating of Tides of War.. a complete reverse Mr Caveman .. so keep your mouth shut about that. TowNet lets us put an AA Advertisement right on the front page of Tides of War. Why? To draw more pilots into the USAAC Community that visit Tides of War .. not the other way around. That advertisement in no way benefits Tides of War

Tides of War does NOT need any "hits" generated by the small amount of traffic thru the USAAC and the use of their forums .. totally ridiculous. USAAC and its services "consumes" ToW resources and adds nothing back in return, USAAC does not pay one red dime.

As I have explained many times .. the forums that TowNet supports for Tides of War is a Multi-gaming forum as well as Club Forums .. its shared by many. What the USAAC needed was something fast an ez, something no one had to put many hours into to get started. We also wanted something 'secure'. USAAC has a 'custom' built skin that cost TowNet and its member "cold cash". Do you think that the look and feel of USAAC came that way "out of the box"? (Go here for a reality check) TowNet Organization and the ToW Club that provides the funding has spent plenty to help the USAAC get started and all they hear in appreciation from one Mr Nitro is petty complaints and insinuations .. not once a 'thank you".

To tell you the truth Tbar, I didn't bother reading your trade mark long response. I learned most of it always BS. My daddy always told me," Never trust anyone that always have to reply back with a full page ad to try and defend their actions." This was my last post here.

thanks,

Dang Nitro whats the prob bro.....tell ya what i'll try and explain it easy and simple so you can understand and maybe listen from someone else besides Tbar......USAAC does not pay for anything Tides of War pays everything out of its own pocket to keep the site up and running it is on their server their bandwidth that they pay dearly for....tell ya what why dont you put up the cash to run the site problem solved. Owning bandwidth is very expensive. you get to play this game for free. You get to get on their bandwidth and play or would you rather this be like any other game site out there and have to pay $15-$20 a month to play...sheesh man let it rest.

BTW Tbar keep up the good work and dont let someone like Nitro drag ya down...being on Team Speak with you i hear all the time people comming in and wanting your help with something so i know how much work you put in to keep this site up and running not keeping it a non pay site.

Here is a link to my very first posting when I question US Air Attack forums being on TOW back when you first was building the site in Feb 2007. And you soon followed with your trade mark long response.... http://forum.tidesofwar.net/index.php?s=&a...ost&p=33176 Notice how you kept referring to Tides of War as a third person? By doing that, you mislead other by not believing your not the owner of Tides of War. Anytime you ever talked about Tides of War, you always referred to them as a 3rd party.

thanks,

Nitro

I guess as a 3rd party beside aa-central and USAAC ?

A good example probably is ?TAA? at the stage of 5 years ago:

- it was merely a dead forum, provided by ?334th_ShadowEagle?, who was the former GCpro-head-admin.

- after GCpro shutted down all its services, the german community visited TAA, which was only there to keep the folks together, to give them a site to come to, to visit, to talk and dicuss and to see what we can do, to keep our beloved game alive.

- after GCpro died, 334th_Shadow Eagle was a ?private? person, with no official rights to speak as a ?responsible?person regarding AirAttack or its community. He was simply there and willing to do something and he was ?trusted?.

- ?Babsack?is the owner of the license for the ?wbb?- forums-software, which provides so many nice features, especially for ?AirAttack?, allthough it hasn?t been developed for this game. Everyone can buy such a license and if you got one, you?ll be allowed to implement the forums-software on 5 - websites. There are other licenses available (more expensive), which allow you to implement the software on 10, 20 or even 50 websites. ?Babsack?was the former C/O of the german squad `Flying Cobras? [COB] but a private person without any official rights.

- Since AA wasn?t available to play any longer, many users of the former AA-community started to play other games, such as ?MoH? (Medal of Honour) and IL-2- Sturmovik. Hence you could find forums for these games at TAA, 5 years ago.

- 4 years ago TANK and I stepped up to do something because we were and still are ?AA-addicts?. We wanted to play AA and not MoH or IL-2. TAA was nearly dead, since all its users disappeared in the cyberspace, after they recognised AA is dead and will never be available again for them. (very similar happenings over at UKAAC)

- ShadowEagle and Babsack gave us admin-rights and said: do what you want and what you think is necessary, to keep the community together.

- At this time TANK had only little coder and programmer skills, such as ?html? and a little bit ?Java? and ?Flash?. He developed his own skills during the past 4 years alot and became one of the best webmasters regarding ?AirAttack? ever.

- I myself had and still have no coder - or programmer skills but alot of contacts and ?friends?within the net, worldwide. Hence a very nice co-operation between TAA, KAA and JAC was rising and at the end we had access to the korean server and even our own ?launcher? which provided the needed ?security?. SR_Phork from the japanese community even ?hacked? parts of the AA - client software for us, in such a way we could have the ingame - menu in our own language (english, german and japanese). It was simply amazing.

- TANK and I were not best friends and still aren?t. But for the game we love(d) we?ve put our differences aside and learned to respect each other. It was a very ?strange?arrangement and co-operation there but it worked out a treat.

Together we also had to learn, that there is a lot of distrust, smell of conspiracy as well as envy and grudge around the game. There are a lot of ?control-freaks? around the game, who only want to control folks and there are some who even think, if they only had the control, they could make money with the game.

Trustfulness/faith is not given by anyone beforehand. You?ll have to earn it. (...oh and you wont earn it by being a ?brown-noser? only) Do something, show something, act. And if you can please the community(ies), you?ll may receive their faith and trustfulness. And once you received it, be assured it is a very thin ice and can be taken away very soon.

In the case of TAA I can?t exactly say, who is the ?owner? but I?m one of the ?operators? and will be as long as I have fun to do it and as long as I think, there is nobody else who could do it better. And be assured: it is only little fun but a lot of work.

Another thing: one can?t make money with ?AirAttack?that easily. As long as ?Ketsujin?is the owner of the rights for the game and as long as they don?t earn a single cent with the game be assured, nobody else can. Sure, you can earn money with providing game-websites such as ?ToW? and I don?t see why they shouldn?t if they plan to do so but where is the point to take money from AA?ers as long as the game is available for free on other websites ? As soon as USAAC calls for giving money, you?ll leave and use TAA and/or UKAAC - sites only, in order to play the game for free, wont you ?

We also could add advertisements at TAA-webby in order to receive little money but is it worth the hassle and the annoying popups ?

AA runs still for free just because of the voluntariness of fine folks all over the world and especially in the UK and in Germany and now here in the US. It is not easy though.....

Oh and to add a comment about earning money with clicks on a website:

Approx. 10 years ago a new market was discovered. One could earn money, with advertisements regarding most different products. You either had to add a ?popup? to your site or had to implement a ?static?advertisement - banner somewhere on your site. You?d receive a couple cents, if a user visits your website and clicks either on the popup or the static implemented banner and a new website would open. The website of the company you made advertisments for. The company then could ?trace? from which website the user was browsing to their website and you would receive a couple cents.

In the times of popup-blockers this business (which wasn?t a good business anyway) became redundant and popups as well as other advertisements on a website are nothing more but annoying for the user, who would never visit your website again.

Finally someone understood what I been saying all this time. Thats why Tbar never came out and told anyone he was the owner of Tides of War site. He knew we wouldnt go for it in the first place. At the beginning, he jumped at the chance to make us a US Air Attack site before anyone else could volunteer. His plan was to add our forums to his Tides of War site to generate hits on his site. Why else wont he remove our forum from TOW site ? Tons of free forums on the net. If he wants a better one then the free ones, I will pay for it out of my own pocket.
thanks,
