Bss / Usa Practice Report For 06/21/07

Hello fellow pilots and friends of the Mighty BSS

Last nights practice was quite good with the following members showing up to fly with us.

Tbar, Jonny, Strife, Emrys (Yes Emrys from the Euro Squad), and Myself. We also had a couple of guests flying last night, USHA_Inferno and Party something or other. ( Sorry I could'nt remember the entire tag)

We pretty much practiced a flight plan for this weekends SNL but it was very loose to what we will really be flying.

Also, We need our wing leaders to be more acertive and take a more active role in their positions. This was their first time as acting wing leaders. All in all they did a good job of flying. Jonny does a really fine job of calling out his targets. Strife on the otherhand was a little on the quite side due to pc problems. Strife is definately working to get the issues with his pc fixed. Tbar could be found most of the time on my six, because I like to show my A_ _ a lot, and Emrys is getting better and better as long as he hasn't had to much to drink. I myself owe Strife and apolgy because I was not much help as a wingman for him last night.

We're Still waiting for the Euro Squad to start practices again. There squad ranks are increasing in size, but I feel they are lacking on the leadership side. We need to have someone over there to step up to the plate and get those guys practicing. I feel a good choice for this would be Zarn as he always seems to make Sundays practice when no one else does. I vote for Zarn as a new wing leader for the Euro Squad. Do I hear any seconds to that motion??? Zarn what do you think?? Do you want to step up to the plate and get the Euro guys in shape???

Ok, I'm off the soap box for now.

No worries.....i was enjoying shooting you and Jonny and emerys down.......had a good time and really want to thank Inferno for comming and flying with us. Also thanks to Emerys for teaching me a new move that i think is really effective aint gonna say what it is here cuz well you know flies on the wall's lmao but you will be seeing me use it to get away and turn and burn yer six. All in all a very effective practice. Enough for now see all Saturday evening.

Hi all

Re: euro practice. I totally agree Joker that some leadership is needed in order to get regular practices on euro timezones. I am quite happy to commit to turning up on Wednesday evenings at 8pm, if others want to, and for organising/communicating this time. However being wing leader suggests having a certain level of skills/experience that i don't feel i have (i need someone with these attributes to "lead" practices). So if new pilots want to meet, fly around and practice this week then let me know and i'll be there. Any of you US pilots who are around at that time feel free to come and join in.

Regards

Zarn,

IF you think you need flight skills Zarn, I can assure you that you are a better pilot than I, and I was offered the XO position. Now, you and I know that you can fly circles around me in the air so theres no reason for you to back away from being a wing leader.

I spoke to Tbar about it and he thought it was a good idea too. We just need someone over there who will take up the slack and get the Euro squad on a practice schedule. Thats the best way we can make sure that we keep the pilots interested in flying with us, and we definitely need the membership.

You can get make your own training plans form the flight manual or if you want, you can follow my lead and use the same flight lesson plan that I post and then we should all be on the same page. I have assigned Strife and Jonny as wing leaders in the US squad. What I'm hoping that they will do is to communicate with each other and come up with there own lesson plan for weekly practice.

We need some active wing leaders in the Euro Squad, because right now Saj seems to have his hands full and I'm sure he can use the help.

For the moment we are just practicing some basic flight maneuvers from pages 22 - 28 and getting ready for the SNL matches. I'm sure that the 4 squads will be coming around again soon.

Jump in with both feet. Get our boys up and flying.
