Hello Pilots of the Mighty BSS,

Just wondering when we might be able to get together and do some serious TEAM practice.

I've got some things I would like to work on that might make us a better flying team.

Scroll down near the bottom of the page and you will find some drawings of of some fighting tactics.

I'd like to practice some of these. Tbar was trying to explain one of these to me a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't visualize what he was wanting to do. I think these pictures will help me and you understand some of the stuff involved. Let me know what you think. I really want to get better at AA and I hope you guys do to. Also check out the link to the Brevity Code. I think some of it would make it more helpful and enjoyable if we used some of it.

I'm tired of going to teams and getting my butt kicked. I'm much better on my own in FFA. In teams, a single pilot won't survive and I get really frustrated when I don't understand what my wingman wants to do.

So I figure we utilize these "plays" (tactics), Put our own code name to them and try them out.

Maybe I'm just a lot slower than some of you, I don't know. Right now I just fell we are just so unorganized. I'm not feeling the team aspect of things here.

Yeah im 100% up for that i need about 2 more weeks though to get all my assiments and exams out of the way then you will see by plane all other the sky again. Yeah ie got a few over sites like that as well much the same idea really. They are a good idea because they also help teach even the basics as such as throttle control because you realise how important it is.

Pictures and Diagrams definitely help.. no doubt. You can 'see' what the moves should be..

USHA wants to have a USHA noobs vrs ToW noobs on Sundays at 2PM .. so this would be a good practice for us .......... I'm working on the details .. but be ready

Also Gentleman if you follow that link I put on my previous post, be sure to go to the very bottom of the page. There are 4 links there. IF you go to the one on the extreme left where it says "More ACM training" you will find a terrific amount of information there on the Musketeers DoJo.

I found it to be a good read and I'm pretty sure that much of the info will apply to AA because the game they play is based upon FA and Microsoft CFS.

Guys i may have found the Holy Grail of Air combat manuvers. I have word out to a friend of mine that is an information officer for the Air force. There is a manual that he is going to check into for me (its actually a book) wrote by Fredrick "Boots" Blesse a crack fighter ace who fought during the vietnam war. it is from what i saw chock full of all kinds of combat manuvers. this "book" may still be classified so dont get yer hopes to high but thats what he is going to find out for me. I'll keep you informed and may have something else that is not quite as good but if this is still classified then i will fall back on this. By the way there is a program on the History channel called dogfights or something like that and they do computer sims of dogfights and break them down so you can see how they work i will be trying out some stuff i saw in flight and from what was said the P51 and the ME 109 were 2 of the most versatile fighters ever made. Kk enough for now off to FFA to see if these things work

... and note the P51 out performed the 109.. including climbing.

I watch that Hitory Channel "Dog Fights" every Fri Eve in my area. Blesse has been on serveral times. He wrote a book .. the one you reference .. and you can get it at almost any book store.
