Equal Power 04/30/2007, 18 pilots, two teams, 1 Plane, the ME-109K4!
Wow, what a event this was. At first it was a little hard to get the teams balanced, but just before start time, 2 pilots showed up to equal out the players on both sides. The first half starts out and the SU ( Red Team ), is getting their tails kicked by the GE (Purple?? Team). Planes where falling from the skies like rain drops.
As most people who have flow this ME-109 plane know, its is not a quick turner and it proved to be hard for most pilots to fly. You could hear it in the voices on Team Speak, "I hate this damn thing." "I can't get the thing to turn", I couldn't help but chuckle at all the things I was hearing.
I kind of like this plane, although I'm not much of a pilot, I have flown this plane a lot for the last few weeks. There are some little secrets that I found out on my own that can really make this plane a pretty quick turner.
After all was said and done the SU team pulled out the first half win.
As the second half began, we once again had problems getting the team evened out. We had some new pilots who showed up after the first half and most of them joined the SU team.
Popgun, our event director was playing for the SU team and talking with us on Team Speak changed teams to make things fair for GE, but was it.
It seems that Popgun was calling out all his directions to all of us on the SU team thinking he was talking to his GE team. That in it's self kinda made it easy for us to figure out what was happening on that side of things.
In addition we would like to thank Popgun for all the kills he made on his team mates. I'm not sure how many it was but, from what I heard he was having a great team killing, till about 15 minutes into the half when he realized what he was doing. This of course gave all of us on the SU team quite a laugh. THANK YOU POPGUN FOR THE GIFT!!! SLAM DUNK SU WINS THE GAME!!!!
