Tides of War

The game allows access to the menu's and allows for a game to be initiated, however after the pause (the game loading) it crashes back to the desktop.

P4 2.4GHz

512k RAM

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 128Mb

XP Pro

Direct X 9

do you have all the latest hardware drivers ?
have you read around this forum, there is  lot of suggestions that you can try out

I have all the latest drivers for the hardware. I have looked through the forum and there doesnt seem to be an answer to my problem.

i never said you would find a direct answer
I said look around and see what suggestions are posted

e.g turn down sound acceleration, turn off un needed background processes etc etc...

How do you turn down sound acceleration?

click START->RUN
Type DXDIAG

Click OK

in the new window click SOUND

move the leveler down to NONE or BASIC

Click EXIT

I Have Turned the acceleration to None and it still wont run?

do you have any processes running in the background ? such as mIRC, MSN, AntiVirus etc etc  try shut them down
