Heated Words On Channel 5...

Today there was alot said on the tribes channel, concerning the way raids are done.

The main attitude to raids it seems is that everyone is allowed in, no matter gear or experience. As much as this approach is pleasent and over all very guild friendly, it hinders raid advancement alot. No one wants to form a hardcore elitist look on raids, but in order for us to really make any good steady progress is to have stricter rules on raid groups.

Before anyone has a go at me I'll say this before I continue

I am NOT calling anyone a noob.

I am NOT blaming anyone.

I am NOT forcing this apon the raids, simply trying to give another point of view.

I am NOT saying I am the best player around, or the best geared.

I am NOT saying I should be in any way or form a leader of any sort.

What was said on the tribes is that people with less experience in eng game: 5 mans, 10's, 20's, 40's, should not being allowed straight away into major raids. The time to learn your class and to function in a group no matter the size. How to tank or DPS. Heal or counter mobs moves i.e interupts etc. All that should be knowlegde taught in the 5 man high lvl's and at the same time some peices of nice gear togive you that little boost in stats.

I hate to say this, and by no means am I complaining, but in terms of Instance progression the tribes are far behind. Ever wonder major raiding guilds are way way ahead of us? They have strict rules on who and what is let into raids, tanks must have suitable gear and FR for things like MC and NR for AQ/ZG most likely -if- possible. The don't let people with greens in their armor in often, and why? Well where's the equally in letting someone with less experience and lower lvl gear in raiding with people who've spent alot of time working on learning how to play their classes to have their time and possiblty of downing their usual mobs/bosses because they have a few people running about like headless chickens. Though people will argue, who do you learn then? Since when did anyone learn to tank in a raid? Since when did anyone learn to heal in a raid? Follwing DPS calls is one of the few skills that you'll pick up in 20+ raids, as in the 5 mans its not always needed.

Basic class roles should and need to be taught to people BEFORE they go into raids, as it's ont fair on them to go and constantly wipe. Some people don't complain and were thankfull for the experience but it's doubtfull that that point of view if shared throughout the group. If the time and effort was put them to gear them up and get people in the know of what to do BEFORE raids, things would be done eaiser and progression to harder and more challenging things would happened.

The words spoken today in the tribes channel caused Wig to leave DA and make DT the leader, no one as happy that he had to leave. Infact I'm sure we all regret forcing him to do so, but what was said was only a suggestion and a point of view being tried to be put across by a tribes member, Grimgier. He didn't acuse anyone, he didn't point any fingers or be rude. But was met with aggresion from others, who mistook what he was saying for a flame. And in result, what started as a suggestion tried into ye old

cat fight. People jamp into the fight, defending a side without reading over what was really said and in turn only making the situation worse and worse.

We all want DA to be friendly, helpfull etc but when I comes to raids. That sort of attitude will only have us hitting the same brick wall over and over again, slowing the guilds and even the coal's progression greatly. This doesn't mean we can't have fun WHILE raiding, or be cheerful. But in terms of recruitment and loot, the rules need to be tightened up more so. For one the 'First run no loot' failed in the last MC run where a shaman belt, Earthfury, dropped and a shaman (and this is ment in NO OFFENSE TO THAT SHAMAN) won it on his first go. And for the people who'd retort to that with 'Your just bitter because you didn't get it'. No I'm not as I rolled the lowest, below another shaman who'd been to MC previously. Beerhm was denied it due to his poor attendance, but in the course the First run No loot rule was over looked. I don't see that as fair for anyone.

I can imagine this post will generate alot of hate to me, but frankly I don't care. It's getting silly, I enjoy raiding but I'd like the rules that were created are actually stuck to instead of these exeptions being made, intentional or not.

So for anyone that jumps into a hasty negative response, I'm asking you to re-read my post and think before you flame.

hear hear to that rua

Myself im fed up of the politics of the game. I play this game for fun.

Im not pointing anyone out at all, im simply expressing how i feel and how im totally disgusted with how people reacted tonight.

Today i just expressed my own opinions about how i feel not accusing anyone of anything but i was met with a bombardment of criticism.

I stand by that people shudnt be here in greens, they shudnt be learning wat taunt does when fighting mandokir, they shudnt be asking what is a dps call.

Zul gurub or molten core is NOT the place to learn how to play ur class.

The reason 5 mans and 10 mans are here is preparing you for the bigger end instances and i firmly beleive that this shud be pushed upon.

The way people reacted to the statement i made, made me laugh. I couldnt beleive how quickly people react when they dont read something and the way people acted was disgusting.

Im fed up of the politics and tonight just topped it off. I say stuff it im not tanking anymore i say find a new tank, one thats in pure greens and just realised he has to learn defensive stance.

yeah call me elite but i want this raid to succead but at the moment the way things are being handle i disagree with and what is worse is how people jumped on me whne i expressed my opinions.

Im sorry im outspoken but ive really had enough.

Gchq have offered me a place and im SERIOUSLY considering taking it.

What both of you seem to be forgetting is that I and a few others have started this Tribes thing back in NOVEMBER LAST YEAR. All this time we have had the idea that being nice to people and have loads of fun together is more important then getting the loot or downing the boss. THATS why i stayed in tribes for so long. THATS why i've gone over dissapointment after dissapointment because people left, because coalitions didn't work etc. I could have been in BWL a long time ago, fully tier 1 dressed for months. I didn't want that if it meant having the attitude you two described. I've spent 7 friggin months trying to get more people to join us, forming coalitions with guilds so we could have the numbers to go to MC.

I don't know about Rua anymore, but you Grim was one big green dressed noob when you joined us for ZG. You had NO CLUE whatsoever. And now that you've learned abit your all of a sudden better then the people that want to learn just as much as you did back then? Give me a brake. Like someone said in tidesofwar channel it's all about YOU. You want this, you want that, well go do MC on your own then if you're so l33t.

The same people you want to keep from going to ZG are so much needed in MC. So then it's ok if they join? Because YOU need them. Nice attitude !
