didnt want to revive "dead" threads, so Im starting new one. This is the best Ive done in 2 days of trying. Tried staying away, letting AI handle enemy, no good. Tried maintaining distance while having ALL guns(including AA, torps and ally ships) target one enemy until destroyed, no good(Im ALWAYS killed first). Tried various other methods, NOTHING is working. Think I will just "have to get lucky". Hell, Ive never even SEEN the Hood, barely even get to when message about it shows up. Yes, Ive read all the posts about it, and like I said, nothing's working. Will probably shelve this mission, go start German sub missions till I get to another that gives me this much trouble, then try German surface one. If run into same problem with those, will have to shelve Enigma entirely, untill I can figure out what to do. Im playing on Easy, so Difficult setting is a big "HELL NO" for me.

Diffecult is actually easier cause the AI gets the same penalties as you do (visibility range etc)...

So I hear. Does that meant I wont be taking so many hits from main BS guns(heh)when enemy ships are beyond visible range(over 4k meters in moderate fog)?

Yeah, Ive seen it. Seen others too, but nothings working. JUST tried keeping distance, firing tops, got this

Only took them 5 minutes to take out 7 of my ships. So, guess Ill just keep pluging away(should only take me a few months...).

Edit: Heh, forgot to say before, its actually 10A, but still... Im finding it WAY too difficult. Changing to Difficult setting I dont see helping,as it will be harder for me to find enemy as well, I had to do sub mission 2(I think, had to find/sink 2 enemy subs)about 10 time, some I just restarted, because I couldnt find them, even running at slowest speed, and doing gentle circles...

Whew..Glad it's just not me....best so far I did was to circle out N NW firing at hood...probably shoulda kept out there but turned head on and made it to point blank range with hood and hit broadside with full salvo of torps and everyone hit...thing is a rock though...died a minute or 2 later as punishment..but man it was intense.
