UJ.. tks for the pics .. I'll take these and reformate and post in the image gallery at snatf .. then delete from here and leave a link to..

We want the images .. but we can only post 10 for bandwidth reasons etc .. but we are saving them all to do something like "best action pic of the month" etc.. and feature it on the entrance page

Weekly we are just going to pic the 10 that best fit what the mission was etc ..

Sometime on Sunday . .probably by Sun Eve .. we should have all the SNATF info posted as to the last mission (ie last night missions) Winners, pilots list, and so forth.

In picture #4 me buddy flaper gets some holes in him but, it was his and my first time in SNATF and it was FUN. We both blew up our P-80s just taxiing and airborn I had no idea where I was. Run out of time just 50 miles from home plate. We, flaper and taldrg, fly SBDs and man is that jet a hoot.

We will be back each Sat. and learn this thing yet.

Well, I was busy over target trying to form up on Glider and Vette? in my Mig and then I saw the tracers flying forward past me and that "Dink dink dink" sound that I have come to know all to well.

That was Noble tearing me a new one with his P-80. I yelled Six! Six! and the last thing I saw before I popped the canopy was the two guys in front of me break hard.

How did they invent the jet engine but forget the rear view mirrors - lol?

In a non-combat related note, my hamfisted throttle hand enabled me to practice airstarts 3X. The success of which I found was very altitude related.

It doesn't always take tracers from the rear to make a guy sweat.

Good time.

I was my first time in the WWII jets, and they are not too forgiving on the hamfisted throttle types like me. Nice to fly once in a while. I was flying tight on Union Jack's wing (P-80)and he slowed quickly, so I cut the throttle and and immediatly had an engine fire and wounded pilot. Had to bail out and ditch the aircraft. Never encountered ememy air on either red or blue. All bails/loss of a/c was due to lack on experience on jet engines management. Was fun though. Navigation was crucial on that mission and map. Good mission Glider, nice to something completly new like that. Normandy sounds good.
