I'm in the same boat as you are Gos .. swamped and way to much time on SNATF. I'm not complaining mind you.
Here is the process as I see it, So Gos, or Bolter .. pipe in if I'm off base.
1) The event is advertised
a_) Tides does its part on townet.. ie all our internal pages
b_) SNATF team does the rest -- Bolter and Company
2) The event is Pre-tested and set up
a_) We follow the basic outline that Gos is suggesting.
b_) We make the proper staff arrangements.
3) The Event Server is Opened for Practice. Again we follow the basic outline Gos and Bolter decide on.
4) The Event is held.
5) Event results are posted. ********************************************
What I intended to do was take the 'sign up post' and simply "move it" to Results. Then post a quick narrative, comments, what pilots attended and a LINK to SCREEN SHOTS for that event.
I felt this would make things very easy as the 'register' or sign up post is already in the correct format for 'results' .. all we need to do is ADD: RESULTS to the end of the topic line and then it all files away neatly.
Pilots will get used to looking at Event Results and responding or making comments in the proper event result topic
The above procedure is something I think we should at least try. I want to work this event into our weekly game coverage in our Newspaper Publication, I can't do that now because we aren't ready to do so (staff) .. but preparing these topic like this will really help when we do.

Bolter will eventually figure out how to ftp and upload, but in the mean time he either needs to send them to me via email or simply post them up where he can and where it makes the most sense. Eventually I will take them down and replace them with a LINK to pics that are now actually on the SNATF site as a slide gallery by event date.
I don't have time right now to install all that. its not complicated just takes time I don't have right this week. You guys know how that is ...

However, lol, those guys are faster than we can work and they responded before the results were set up
