Enigma Sth Canceled?

after reading this http://forum.tidesofwar.net/index.php?showtopic=3199

i raise this question as by screenshots and info provided before there was lot of work and content done (from my limited point of view) ...

i mean there is no chance of it being released ?

like over digital online content delivery

Steam http://www.steampowered.com

or

Triton http://www.playtriton.com/(former xStream , http://www.gamexstream.com/ )

i will use Steam as example where small mod studio (which won UE2.5 and UE3.0 engine in contest) was slowly fading

but chance release of "improved" standalone version Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45 allowed them alive and become financially successful (read in black numbers)

point is online release is not linked to (in any point) or limiting previous or future retail releases ... it gives 50% or more income from sales to developer directly...

plus since ROO publish over Steam there was simplified method of code changes needed ...

well this is just my hope StH...

future Enigma/WarFleet game(s) were on my "original" list for long and it's sad to see them die (like any other promising title)

edit:

p.s. to explain it further , let say You redone xy models, textures added missions, improved engine with better use of new videocards and who knows what all else ... why no release it as new game on Steam / Triton / else ...

quite sure even the "pre-orders" from Enigma fans will pay the work done ! (same like RedOrchestra where Steam preorder paid the game cost before it was fully released on Steam)

We had redone a good bit of the models and several other sections. Biggest issue was the conversion of the game to a new engine, cleaning up a considerable amount of code, and making it truly multiplayer capable.

I haven't given up hope of being able to put together enough on my own to be able to license it from TAG and continue with it, but not sure when that could happen.

There isn't enough to release as a new game, in any state. The engine license alone to be able to release it would be very high. The good news is TAG looks to be around for some time still, long as that's the case there is a chance for Enigma.

I can say that TAGs current and former publishers need to get things right now that we have a business attorney at the helm...
