Internal Rendering Of Ships

I've seen the interiors of ships in ERT, and all I have to say is that the crews would need to swing from ropes to get around. There's no decks! :D

Interior modeling would probably have taken twice as long as exteriors, so you shouldn't be surprised there isn't any. I doubt there will be much, if any in Chapter 2.

For the purpose of the game, which is essentially either first or third person combat mode, does internal rendering advance the game?

If it were a racing sim I would answer yes - being able to see the dashbaord, mud/debrie on the windshield(should I pit or not?) but for Enigma - I can't see a significant difference it would make.

Having said that however, Enigma in a different medium such as print or art it would factor in.

Of course, of course. I did not mean it as a game advancement, more a creative pursuit outside the game experience in the manner of a signature or screen shot. (Being the post was under 'future suggestions' it is only logical one would sail away with that impression.) That said, apparently I am not alone in this respect. I received an email from a communtiy member who has been working on such a rendering and hopefully she will share it with the community when the project is completed. Can't wait. :)

i reckon that if there was internal rendering it would lend a fair ammount as then if the bridge was just hit by a shell it could have something hanging from the deckhead (ceiling) or a piece of bulkhead (wall) missing or mangled. or even the bridge could be on fire and sailors rush in to try and put it out. thats how it would add to the game, an addition of realism
