Here is a first peek at the new Flower Class Corvette. This is an in-progress shot; there are no portholes or decals of any type, no camo, no weapons. She is about 75% done as she sits. This is the ingame model. This is not what it will look like inside the new engine, it will look better.

Enjoy. (any broken links will show up as I finish the renders)

Let me be the second to say..

AWESOME!

I'll add "DUDE!" to that too. ;)

That's really fantastic work there. I can almost carve my initials in the deckboards! :D

THAT, my friends, totally beats the crap out of SH3. I absolutely LOVE the decking and woodwork on the ship! Can't wait to see it armed!

I can't wait to see what the ocean's going to look like, either! 🥰

Will we see it splinter upon impact? That would rock. :)

bits of decking floating in the water after a sinking would be cool as well! 8)

You will see splinters fly off, not determined yet if you will see splintered decking, we are still re-developing these systems. Here are a couple of shots with the new ocean (also in development): NOTE: In these shots the ship is in a uniform texture, the ocean has no particle effects, the ship doesn't have any environment mapping, etc. This is very early. The water shader is based on a well known masters thesis that we grafted into the ARETE water (it still needs to be adjusted for scale!), Cybernet Network and (in progress) our new rendering engine - this example runs on the network.

Very nice. Very very very nice! The water looks amazing, esp. the reflections.

Nice clouds, to! =)

If it's gonna be even better then that, it's gonna be beautiful. :)

East, can you provide an estimate of what the minimum specs will have to be to run the new game?
