What's Your Favourite Moment So Far?

Such a good feeling completing the LFN 2nd PT boat mission - really really satisfying.
(Love the PT boats anyhow' date=' they're more like jet ski's than anything else really. we need a PT boat racing championship - maybe that should be an option for MP!)
How about everyone else? What's been your absolute favourite moment so far? 8)[/quote']
I guess that would be just the moment where I clicked SUBMIT as I posted my most recent player stat
releasing a spread of 6 torpedo's at a distant convoy then crashdiving to 200m cutting engines and listening to the 2 corvettes troll overhead and depth charges exploding as i see 4 kills ring up.Dats Sweet HSOK
My sweetest mo has to be when i nailed a Corvette with a torp as it attempted to ram me (you know fire at the last moment) Then diving to 50metres at flank and hard starboard' date=' then (watching the 'vette on the B-Tac) Going back up to peri' depth and going stern view (with scope) and watching it (Corvette)turning slowly to chase me -me knowing that it couldn't match my speed after being wounded!
I used a combination of port and starboard and *speed* to dead-centre myself with the tailing 'vette -so that it would stay on my tailand when it eventualy crept out of the 100metre circle i fired a stern torp and BOOM! it didn't even break the surface, just slammed into the hull!!
I surfaced with beer in hand and salt spray in face
TIP: If you are at peri' depth and a DE or whatever goes full steam for you, you *don't* need to be directly aimed at it to break it's course (although you MUST fire before it goes under 100metres because it's commited then), just fire a bow torp in it's general direction -it *doesn't* have to be on target ok- and it [i']will swerve away from you allowing you to stay at peri' depth and sink it with stern as it goes past 8)
I can stay at peri' depth and have them go past within 50metres using this technique- i tend to use pivot to port/starboard to keep my bow and stern protected 360degrees. The *only* worry you will have is from ship launched torps as you wont have any time to react -try it it's FUN!
My greatest momemnt was playing one of the tech demos. Attacking Escort destroyer in PT boat' date=' running in at flank, dodging left and right, INCOMING TORPEDOES but i ignore it,200 meters loose four torps three of them hit, hard about, now running directly away from sinking destroyer. This is the cool bit,I switch to the outside view and there are the enemey torpedoes running parrallel to me one on either side. ALL STOP!! Que smug grin. Shoulda taken a screenshot no ones gonna believe me.[/quote']
Had a similar moment whilst on a 'vette. Superb to slalom in and out of incoming torps and then nail the so-and-so that flipped them at you! 8)
Should have been featured on Ski Sunday!
Balletically dodging a barrage of torpedoes in a DD. The feeling when you jink to Port and as a torp goes past your bow jink to Starboard so it misses your stern as well.
Wolf Packs are damn dangerous beasties.
I have had some fantastic heart stopping moments in DD's dodging torp spreads' date=' that torpedo bell gets the heart racing, especially if it rings more than 4 times!
I did hear it ring 12 times once as I blundered into a crossfire from a wolfpack! the first three fish hit and killed me and I was rewarded with the sight of at least six more hit my smouldering hulk!
Kinda learn't my lesson on that one![/quote']
