Tides of War

I can't believe I never came across this game. It is excellent. Much better than SH3. It reminds me of another of my favorite PC games: Steel Beasts. Feels like both a sim and a game at the same time. Bravo. So glad I ran into the Gold edition at my local shop and decided to try it out!

One thing that would make this game GREAT, is an integrated (from the developer) mission editor with a logic tree like steel beasts to craft detailed missions (modern armor game...if you haven't tried it...do, it feels alot like this game). I know there is a 3rd party one, but a mission editor with a detailed and easy to use interface would take this game from a 10/10 to well a 10/10 plus.

No, happens to me to. Unfortunate, but completely normal.

It is annoying though...so I went to the DL section of this forum and there is a nifty little program that cleans the protection software off your game, now it fires up first time every time...check it out.

Okay, its probably staring me in the face, where is the download section of this forum?

I would like to try this patch.

that starforce thing (or whatever it is called) is the most annoying protection system I have ever encountered.

go to the General Topics. It is pinned as Download sites...you will find it there...DL and stop swearing at your computer...it is not its fault!

When I went there I found two "fixes". One for a restart and one for the Starforce protection thing. You are saying the the second one is the one that I want?

I ran the clean utility. Jesper says it is not recommended to do it...but it definitely helped a lot for me. A crack disk would be better...I know there are unscrupolous people in the world, but common, I paid for it, I wish I didn't have to go through loading 3 to 4 times just to get the game going. frustrating. so use at your own risk, but it did help and see no problems occuring at all after running it.
