Hi gang, new to Enigma. Just visited the forum and see many of you speaking about setting the depth charges to 170 meters or specific depths to target. My options are only 20/55/95/150. How are you doing this?

The four depth options you mention ,, can be set by clicking , as you have seen , but any increments of 5m can be set by voice ..
However ,, in practice , when subs can go only to 200m , if you say " Set Depth TWO ZERO ZERO " , then they will explode on contact anyway , al the way down .
THIS WILL NOT BE SO ON MULTIPLAYER ,, according to East's explanation , somewhere in former posts ....but is the effective way in single player to destroy at all depths .
Why different ? Because of something in programming or such ,, when the only options were ,, 1 To allow to explode now , as they do ,,, or 2 , To allow the charges to pass clean THRU the sub . ... Programming it so that they would collide , and roll off the summerged sub's deck required some more demanding and possibly resource - consuming program. This is why you will never find an unexploded depth charge landing on a sub's deck , if it is at shallow depth .. or ,, upon surfacing , find it still there !
AND This is why setting at TWO ZERO ZERO ensures they destroy whatever the depth of sub, no necesstity for less depth .
Contact means they will explode .
Setting any depth less than sub actually is at ... means they wont travel any deeper and reach the DEEPER sub .
Also in instrument panel , if you don't have VOICE ,, you can click and set on 200m . Take a look at things . --- BUT GET VOICE if you can , that is one of the greatest things about Enigma and makes it more realistic .
