I CANT GET IN FIREIN RANGE OF THE OILER WHEN THE GAME SAYS IT'S TORN SIR AND I CAN CONT THE GAME I COULD USE SOME HELP

The first thing you should know is that mission is timed - the first few times I did it, I didn't know that - just sat there and waited for the corvettes to set themselves up, but most of the time before I even sunk them it decided I was done.

The way I beat it was stay surfaced, but rigged for a dive @ flank. Head straight for the freighter, fire a huge spread a mile off his bow - freighters may be slow, but so are your torps. Keep going flank, fire another spread, then dive to 10-ish. You should have lost some health but a negligible amount all the same. Keep heading flank at that tanker, if you haven't hit it by now.

Now that you've had a chance at the tanker, time should be near zero. If you hit it... great. If not, work fast: you can fire another spread or maneuver to take on the CVs, but keep in mind time is running low, and try and keep edging towards that freighter, firing spreads at it whenever you can.

Remember, the freighter is your primary target. Sink that and live for another minute and you're good to go (it takes one minute to confirm the death - so if you have a 10m game and you sink it at 9:30, you lose).
