Im trying to find out if it is time to let go of support for screen resolutions less than 1024x768 for webpages, Im kinda tired of keep having to make 800x600 render tests Image

It's hard enough to make webpages render properly in MSIE ;)

So what is your current screen res, refresh rate, monitor size?

Mine is 1152x864 @ 75hz on a 17" CRT.

If you have less than 17" are you planning to upgrade in the near future?

And which webbrowser are you using?

:D Jesper, I have an LCD 17' capable of 1280X1024 but use 1024X 768 for Enigma as the combat screen is to hard to read at the highest res.

:D yeah Leadman CRT is still a better res than LCD but Enigma's engine is great for both. On LCD I dont have the flicker problem so I can run at 60hz. Detail is great on LCD but i do have a few dead pxels, par for the course, although they are so minute you dont see them until u get a BSOD! Maybe some of the newer guys out there dont realize that on the older screens CRT's (Cathode ray tubes)they should be running 75-85 hz it stops the flicker and that is bad for the eyes it's a simple thing but a lot of people don't know how to adjust it or don't know about it.

good hunting to all long live the LFN

Yeah, I did a bit of research and posted in several forums on best monitor to get. Majority said a flat screen crt as on some games a lcd had probs imaging...like flying planes on Battlefield 1942. Thanks for the resolution info though. Have to check mine. Looking forward to playing this game more also. hopefully multi some day. just got it and love it. never anybody in TS though...

Aslong as the LCD has a small response time (20-25ms or less) it can be used for most games, aslong as they dont require that the monitor can keep up with 80+ FPS

Actually my monitor is now 6 years old it is a 19" CRT and it is still going great guns, I will of course be replacing it when I am happy that the Flat screen technology can meet the requirements but as yet i have to be convinced. Until then my monitor can handle all the modern screen sizes although the icons are getting smaller so my zoom on my bin's is being used more:)
