as i said aircraft carriers are extremely powerful ships, they themselves are so heavily defensively armed with cannons that they could easily bring down a battleship we also need heavy dreadnaughts/criusers in the class of the uss texas, or for a really big treat an atomic or nautalis class submarine

Aye, more classes of submarines. Nuclear submarines, for those of us running out of batteries and air - even if it be a rare occurance.
I don't play surface much, but it would also be nice to have preset DC charges... exe have a menu where you can set up DC's at dif time intervals w/ dif depths in single pairs, so you can just hit "fire pattern 1" once, as opposed to fretting about setting the depth inbetween every pair.
OOOOO another suggestion about prop control: say we want to pivot while still moving forward... we should be able to control the props individually, exe left ahead full, right back 1/3.
Individual rudder control would also be nice, on the german subs for slowing down faster, moving both rudders out to act as flaps.... This would also aid the pivot/forward problem, pivoting starbaord with the rudder port (instead of starboard) would pull the sub back as it was pivoting.
Sry these prolly belong in another topic, but it just clogs the forum...

I have seen certain information here and there that may interest. As far as I know the largest guns on carriers were the 8-inchers on USS Saratoga and USS Lexington.

Cool stuff, I must say. I thought the dirigible was pretty neat too.
I am SO looking forward to the next phase of this game.

Those things better be able to launch planes.
And they had better be deep in the water. I mean we sub caps better be divin low... 20m, at least, to avoid impact with our conning tower. Anything that's that high up in the water and that heavy... and thin... if its that thin, it's gotta go deep. I could understand the wider ones not going too far, but the thin ones...

ive been onboard the uss lexington, perhaps they could make a vietnam/korean war scenario, where conventional aircraft could be launched from, and have a fighter/to aircraft mode, this would make sales absolutely skyrocket, and wuld make the game much more interesting, they could also make a modders addon so that a development community could become real, and, we really need to make it more real, like, the torpedos are about 1/10 of the actual speed, and, the ships must sink faster, without as much ordinance, and finally, they have to make it so that they dont add so much unnneded animation, my computer already is slow enough, even though it meets the reccomended systm requiremens

Ships don't always sink that fast. Remember the more you hit it the faster it sinks. Also remember they didn't just make a game, they did plenty of research...
The torp speed is fine. Again, they did research. It could be a bit faster, but remember you can adjust it... also remember they aren't 20th century torpedoes.
The animation is fine. If your computer is slow, well, its your computer. My suggestion: wipe it. My cpu went from 12:43 to log on (yes, I timed it) to less than a second when I wiped it. You can save all your files on disks so you don't lose them.
I suppose flying planes would be interesting. Making an entire new set of vehicles to command just so they can drop ten bombs... miss because of wind... and get shot down before even dropping the second one. I do love flight sims, but I just don't think it would be a good use of time, even if you can live through the second bomb. They'd have to make a new physics system, run it over the current ERT, make plane interiors, controls... you get the idea. Sales might increase by >1%... no where near skyrocketing... but if you want to fly, buy a flight sim. Just my personal suggestion.
