Voice Cmd Changing Speeds

I was in my sub on a mission trying to stay quiet, I only went to 1/3 throttle. When I gave the voice command hard to starboard the engines kicked up to 2/3 throttle.
So I start over and try again, this time I did the same but I did the pivot starboard command and the same thing happened.
Next I try going ahead 1/3 again, and I click on the map where I want to go and as you can guess, same thing, it changes speed again.
Overall whenever I do voice commands it will change the throttle whenever it wants to. Sometimes thats nice, but when I am trying to stay quiet this can be a real pain.
Only way I found to get around it is to use the mouse and click on everything for the commands rather than using voice. Any way to get around this?
Edit: Another thing I noticed is that if you have a space after your name in preferences, it will not be able to create a file for you to save your progress.

Train your speech profile and maybe you need to adjust the accuracy in the speech options aswell

I had already trained my speech profile.
And when I said it was changing speeds, I was unclear. It recognized the command, it would do the command I wanted everytime, but it would change speeds also. I was running at 1/3 everytime I tested this and it would change speed everytime unless I used my mouse to use the GUI. The computer voice would repeat my turn commands and it never misunderstood me and he never said anything about changing speed.

Are you playing with earphones or with speakers?
I used to find that sometimes Enigma's voice recognition mistook the game sounds and music from the speakers as commands. So I started only playing with earphones and the problem was resolved.

earphones. It's not a problem of the computer hearing something wrong and it changing speeds because of that. If it was I would hear him say a confirmation of him changing the speed. I am only hearing him say "aye aye, hard to port" or whatever command I used, he says nothing about changing speed, it just does it.
Nobody else has noticed this?
I just got the gold version also, if that helps.

Well Tomski81, you already know I have spoken with you and seen the same thing on my USA gold version..
I believe it is a bug in the game that the ship is assuming you want more speed in order to make the turn.. but I understand you want to remain silent.. maybe East will check into this..

In one case you describe , when you click a " waypoint " on the map , the vessel will always change to top speed . If it needs to turn many degrees , it will not immediately , until it turns closer to the heading .
The idea is that it selects the fastest manner and route to reach the point , which in some cases is not to immediately increase speed , or time would be lost by following a slightly longer course . If you observe this a few times you will see . ( This is mentioned in a line of manual . )
If you intend to head towards a target , you could click ( right ) on it as a waypoint , but I find in practise that if I click left and first say Engage target , then see the exact heading , it seems to be faster to reach the point if I say ' Set course .... ' ( for that discovered heading ) and then say Ahead flank . This means that in the cases when you already are at speed , the reverse does not happen , and the vessel change down speed to turn and then increase again .

Baron Von Kirkbean,
Have you noticed the sub is doing the same thing to you?
If the sub is simply making decisions to "select" the fastest method to head to a target, then we do not have full control do we? (this is why we reported this issue in the first place).
Tomski is looking for complete control over his ship, and does not want his ship to speed up giving the enemy louder noises to detect.
Do you agree this needs looked at?

you can set a heading using the compass - it maintains current speed settings...click on the inside of the compass and the ship will come to that heading. Right click on the inside of the compass and it will hold heading.

You can also use "Set Rudder 2/3's to port" voice comm. It shouldn't change your speed.
