I have the latests patches and I still can't hear the crewmembers talking back to me. Any clue?

You need the gold patch or download and install the custom VP's (those requires the latest v2.xx or gold patch)

Yes, I have all the patches, and I've done it manually.

You cant have all the patches, the gold patch is a standalone patch.

if you have the gold patch installed there is a checkbox in the prefs screen to turn voice response on/off skipper

There is another thing on a different note. I can't go to the Battle Group Forum, I haven't beeen on since before Christmas, is it down for a reason?

yes it is offline at the moment, may or may not be back up.

I have had a problem with a differant game recently with voices not working. The game was X2-The threat. Music and all other sounds worked fine but voices didnt. It seems similar so it may fix your problems (probably not though.)

The problem was WinXP not using priorities on your audio codecs. To fix this I needed to Uninstall Media Player 10 and then reinstall it. The essential part was uninstalling. If you just reinstalled over the top it did nothing. To do this go to add remove programs in control panel. Media Player is a Windows component so you will need to select that option. Now download Media Player 10 from microsoft.com and see if it fixes the voice. You may want to re-install the direct-x as well.

As I said, this may not work but it is a similar problem i've had with other games (voices not working but other sounds do) and that is how you fix it.
