I think in the game german subs are lacking the type VII has only 5 torpedo tubes and can travel only 18 knots surface 7 underwater and the type IX has only 6 torpedo tubes and travels 18 knots on the Surface and 8 underwater so why not add the Type XXI its worthy enough to compete with the I 15 and yet only slightly surpasses the USN s subs here are the stats

Design draught: 20 feet

weapons: 6x21in torpedo tubes all bow with 23 torpedoes and 2xdouble streamlined turret mounted 20mm AA guns

machinery: 2x4,000 hp diesel motor capable of 15.5 knots surfaced

2x 5,000 hp electric motors capable of 16 knots submerged

and 2x 226hp electric silent creeping motors capable of 3.5 knots submerged

Its was produced in the latter monthes of the war only 123 were ever put to sea

it was an extremely deadly sub it could run on its electric motors at 16 knots for 48 hours and on its creeping motors at 3.5 knots underwater for 11 days its offense was also quite impressive it had a sonar system with a range of 50nm, it could create firing solutions without even raising its periscope, and could fire from 50 meters underwater

48 hours submerged sounds great. Pity it would be my enemy as I'd love to use one of those.

The Type-IX in the game now is by far superior to the RN and USN boats, its true it doesnt have as many tubes but it is far more manouverable..

and who needs 6 tubes in front? *one shot, one kill* =)

Its a bit lacking on speed underwater, but thats my only complaint with the IGN subs. And you have to love the open bridge

When I stumble accross a large merchant convoy with heavy escorts I'll grin as I send out 6 torps then slip away. Indeed one shot one kill, that's 6 kills without even being spotted.

48 hours submerged sounds great. Pity it would be my enemy as I'd love to use one of those.

maybe then they could implement a salvage or capture process in the game.

for example if you want to keep your experiance since the start of the mission the captain needs to abandon ship....if he doesnt set the scuttling charges (cause they would need 2-3 min setting time (add in having to surface for subs) then the ship could be up for salvage...but to add to challange once a ship is claimed everyone in that fleet will be notified and your worth double.

Great idea. Think something along those lines has been mentioned in future suggestions. I think it will be important to have a variety of ships that do differant roles. (Like the one you mentioned BLitz). It would be nice to have vessels whose roles are not killing enemies but helping to advance the standing of your faction.

-Once multiplayer goes live i'm sure TAG will receive many suggestions on how to make the gameplay better.

I think the type XXI equals out because 1. it has no deck gun 2. it has no rear torp tubes 3. its about the same size as the type IX 4.the Americans and the league have have far more superior plans such as the yamamato and all the american aircraft carriers 5. it will be the only decent sea going vessel in the imp german army because all its destroyers are WWI design and 6. it wasn't produced till may 1945

It will probably be added eventually. Many people will play Enigma for the submarines so i'm sure new content will be added to keep their interest.
