Battleships?

How does one get a battleship, now I've been sunk by one so now I'd like to command one. Is that possible, other than with the LFN. If that's possible.
If you ask me, and you didn't, battleships are no fun. It takes five minutes to turn 90?, you sink the enemy from so far away, you can't even see them with your binoculars on a clear day, and you are defenseless against submarines.Ah man no battleships for the Americansthat's no fun.
HEAR HEAR !!!Americans get what I consider the best ship in the game, the Fletchers! Fast, reasonably maneuverable, and very well armed, they're all the ship you really need to clear all the red off of your radar!
i tend to disagree, with the no fun and 5 min turns. and no good with subs...

last nights interdiction. ;;; what i thought were the destroyers off to the south lobbing shells was the battle line to ene coming round to cross me. some where in it an bb big boy, with an couple of subs i took the risk of hitting the anchors and spinning her round which happens quite quickly. as for the subs i stuck air patrols on to them and cv be tween them and me.and left my 5vers trained on em and the dds while i tackled my big bro with my big effluent pipes (i call them that cause anything they hit is shorely in the sh-t) then again it wasnt fun seeing 3 of me dds taken out in mere opening minutes of the confrontation ,and given id delt with the bb i turned one stern e-pipe on the 2 subs, thinking their all safe sitting on the surface so far away, though i wasnt sure if it was one of the dds or them which got one of their lucky fish into me. again i was only at one third which allowed the anchors to dig in and the pivot to get my butt around in time.the cv took one .after this hit flank and after gaining some distance ,got around thier dds back end, crossed that T and dotted all my i`s. to be honest its one of the best tactical patrol ive played to date.mind you i came out with 3/4 hull damage. and an loss of 3/4 of my group to thier all.
