Evolution Of Depth Charges

I was just wondering if there were any plans regarding the evolution of depth charges. I know that right now they are basically just oil drums filled with explosives (as they were for most of the war). However close to the end of WWII I know that the Allies had devolped better Depth Charges that looked more like a lawn dart, and while they carried less TNT and thus were lighter, they were actually more deadly due to the fact that they sank in a more accurate pattern and they sank much faster then the old DCs (more aerodynamic less water resistence and all that).

Now I realize that the pattern issue is probably moot, since I don't think the game currently implements any random deviations from where the DC's enter the water (and don't anyone be getting any ideas here! Image ). However it would be nice to decrease the drop speed at some point (less time for the sub to change heading and escape from the death zone).

Just my two cents, Long Live Enigma enigma!:

you can choose the patterns yourself (depth and speed).

Use your mike or the mouse and cease fire after one or 2 rounds to change the depths etc.

I knew you could change the depth and the pattern/# fired, but you can make them sink faster as well? :!?:

add a v8 engine with 4x1000mm propellas

j/k no thats not possible , but maybe new weapons technology will make new DC's :)

it would be good later in the game to have late WWII tea drop DC with sunk about 24ft/sec or something like that which was faster the then early 'ash can' DCs
