Just to say its the 90th anniversary of the commencement of the Great War and and as such a time for reflection and to remember those that died in this great catasrophy. All those in the Navys Armies and Flying Corps of the world

RIP Ladies and Gentlemen

RIP, and let us remember a bit of their sacrifice as we take our lives so much for granted each day.

Let's see if I remember it properly *coughs*:

THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD,

AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD.

AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM,

NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN.

AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN,

AND IN THE MORNING,

WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM.

Just heard on the local news tonight that there are only 23 WWI veterans surviving in the UK - good health to them in their remaining years and RIP to all the others we have already lost.
