Enemy Torpedo And Kill Repording.

Just had this happen to me - don't think it's a bug though.
Playing the DE training mission. Finished off the tankers and planes and went after the subs.

Had them both within 100 metres of my vessel, one either side. Matched speed and commenced depth charging. Took one of them out.

Now, I knew this was risky move but playing on easy so could see course changes of the subs.

Next second, torpedo bell and hit. Short time delay of less than a second due to close proximity. Enemy sub surfaced at my stern less than half a ships length away.

That is so not fair I thought. Had I been the sub, my fish would have passed clean underneath the DE. Either that or he was surfacing anyway (looking other way at the time) and popped out a fish. It would have hardly got wet.

Will have to rethink close quarter stategy me thinks.  :x

Oh and to cap it all off, the mission summary failed to record my sub kill  :x  :x
The torpedoes from AI are constrained by the same rules as the player subs, so if it could pull that off than so could a player.  Maybe you just learned a new tactic... As for recording your score, we'll have to check into seeing if getting killed right after making a kill fails to add to a player's score.  I'm inclined to suspect though you did enough damage to him to have the water finish him off.  By this I mean if a sub is damaged it can't dive as deep as a healthy sub or it starts taking damage.  If you damaged a sub down deep, it might pushed its safe depth above the height of the sub, thus subjecting it to more damage and killing it.  You wouldn't get the kill for a nature kill, but rest assured you were the major cause of its decent to a watery grave.
