What really needs to be incorperated into Enigma is different ways of sinking one your ship could just blow up in a massive magazine explosion created by unattended fires or it would start to list then the ship would capsize soon after going below water level or in underwater views you could see the unattached turrets pop out of their barbettes one by one or their could be underwater explosions created by water pressure in boiler rooms or in less heavily constructed ships such as merchants or tankers they could blow up in three or two different places and sink in three or two peices or crack in half when there sliding down into the ocean from weight and water pressure Or yu have like flooding ballast tanks to make the ship sink equally and therefore stay afloat longer therefore allowing a repair ship mite have a better chance of saving yu

Absolutely! Critical hits, such as magazine hits, engine and turret hits, etc should all be included if possible. Fire was one of the most dangerous things to a warship and many sunk because of losing the battle with raging fires rather than the actual shell or bomb damage itself.

I remember reading about an American destroyer at Guadalcanal, the USS Barton, which was struck by two Long Lances between the bridge and 'B' Gun. The ship was blown apart into at least two pieces, maybe more. When Bob Ballard went exploring, he only ever found the bow section. He never found the main section.
