when you download the zip you should extract it to c:\program...\..\enigma...\ with the foldername there is in the zip file

then copy the commandresponse.txt from c:\program...\..\enigma...\voicepack_dir\ to its parent and overwrite the original one. (remember to back up the original one first)

more info can be found among these waters: http://enigma.tidesofwar.net/index.php?showforum=39

I just downloaded the USA voicepack today. It extracted fine, and I have a my_voicepack1 in my enigma folder. I also have a commandresponse. I checked the date of the commandresponse with the one in the download and it is the same. The box is green in voice response in preferences. I still cannot hear it in the game. I am running enigmausapatch-2.1.3b. microphone works fine.

Thank you very much. By the way, I build computers, and I post support in forums also, for people with computer technical issues. I also talk them thru cleaning up their registries and getting rid of annoying trojans and such, so I am NOT computer illiterate. I just failed to notice the file hidden in the middle of all of those wave files. Would have been much easier to see if it was at the top.

Anyway, it works now. Is there anything in the works for a voice response when a plane is shot down or a vessel is sunk? Sometimes it is not possible to see the text while you are playing(such as when a scope or binoculars are up), which is why I wanted the voice response download. When I am taking on multiple targets, it would be nice to hear that we shot down such and such plane, or sunk a certain ship, without having to go back to the main screen.

Thanks again for your help, it is much appreciated. Image

Regarding the naming of the file... you'd have to ask TAG about that.. we just have to take what they give us and what windows does for alphabetical listings and deal with it.. heh
