I decided to post up this information for those ERT fans that know nothing about them. So here goes:
Jabber-
From my own experience, so everything appears to work correctly. I'm hoping it runs as smoothly for those who need a little help moving to the jabber area.
Download a Jabber client. The recommended client can be found here at Miranda
The great thing about mirada is that it also has Protocols for IRC, MSN, ICQ, AIM and soon Yahoo Messengers which is great for an all in one package and easy to setup when you first open the client.
Once you have the client running it should look like a basic ICQ layout. Icons run along the bottom showing various 'online/offline' status for each protocol
(MSN | JABBER | IRC | ICQ | AIM )
Along the top you have the Miranda logo and Status switching bar
Setting Up Jabber for tides of war server
Basically the new version of Miranda is self explaned during the setup.
YOu download the software, and run through the install and fill out the fields you want to.
We are gonna deal with the Jabber server only:
Fill out the Jabber Fields according to how you want as an Example:
(note: if you do not have a username and pw...you must click the register button)
Jabber
Username: (yourusername)
Password: (your password)
Login Server: tidesofwar.net
[ ] Save Password Tick or Untick, depends on you.

Click on Apply and Register New User.
And now OK
To get into the chat rooms..........
Click on the miranda icon in the top left of the messenger, pull down the menu and then click on Jabber ----> Multi-User Conference
It will pull up a box and a blank pull down menu.....in that blank pull down menu type : chat.tidesofwar.net then hit the browse button.

TeamSpeak is a little easier to configure......
Download the software from HERE

Now, when TeamSpeak opens.......
-click on Connection ---> Connect
-click on Local Address Book
-RIGHT click on Server and add the following:
Label: (whatever you want)
Server Address: tidesofwar.net
Nickname: (whatever you want)
Thats it! Now click on connect and wait for it to load the channels
