First of all , greetings to all players !!
A sub : can easely destroy a tanker/merchant/oiler

BUT is almost unable to destroy a moving Destroyer or Corvette, unless he's damn good

A boat : very fast and can turn very fast, but has trouble destroying a sub (if you don't know how to do it)

Depthcharges seems to be a major problem indeed, but every sub will dive between 100-150m when they spot a Cruiser or some kind of Depthchargingship coming at them.

When you reach the position of the sub goto 1/3 speed and drop charges...about 10 on 2nd level op dept and 3th level of depth, I thought it's between 50-95 if I'm not mistaking...

also stay in FRONT of the sub, because when yer above it and the sub is moving you won't hit a thing.

So stay like 100m in front of'em...

I hope you people manage to destroy some...

Because I don't wanna be the only Destroyer alive out there

(do any of you know how the RADIO works ??)

G'luck !
Seems like good advice on the surface ships.
Regarding subs, You WILL be able to sink corvettes and DD's with practice.  They ARE fast, but you can plan a route for torps which take care of them(it is not easy).  It is best to be close since they will have little room to menuver.  In a patrol or campaign first try going bow to bow with them, let them come in at you and keep 0 degrees unt il the very last moment(they will appear LARGE in your periscope).

Fire and anticipate turn to left or right and lay a pattern.

Hope this helps!
I was able to calculate the speed of the torpedo
It takes 2.55mins to destroy an Oiler at a distance of 2000m cruising at the speed of 7knots...

So that means that the torpedo's speed = 13,07 m/s

It's easy to calculate it if yer succesfull of hitting a merchant

2.55mins = 153 sec's

2km = 2000m

2000 m : 153 sec's = 13.07 m/s

So there you go...

If anybody needs a math dude in his guild or something , I'm there
