Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of stealth and pace... HM's latest servant reporting ready to die(and respawn) for the Royal Navy.

I've actually been playing Enigma from it's first release, it's just with all those hours at sea you become kind of anti-social so I hadn't got round to reading forums, etc. Apologies...

I find myself most at home weaving in and out of torpedoes while dropping cans on those below. I've even fitted a harness so I can dangle off the front of my destroyer and whack torpedoes away with a specially degaussed cricket bat.

Submarining is also fun, though I found it a little alien at first with the new sub tactics in enigma.

I'm kind of interested in driving a cruiser in MP if the chance comes about as I found HMS Hood a little too unmanuverable for my liking, I actually thought the rudder was broken. The guns were also too big. At 15 inches you'd never get any action, they'd be fainting at first sight.

I've found a little talk on clans and stuff, but nothing concrete. I'm just wondering if there has been any grouping of Royal Navy aligned folk or if no one was bothered due to multiplayer being # time units away from release?

Now some questions:

1.Anyone play hattrick?

2.Is there a better black comedy than Dr Strangelove?

3.What is the feasability of shelling a submarine at periscope depth, how much plunge do you get on those shells?

4.Surely the spikes on a hedgehog would not damage a submarine?

Interestingly, this is a very hard thing to do, unless you strike directly at the conning tower. DD's could either fire Armor-Piercing rounds or HE rounds, the HE rounds will explode on contact with the water and do little damage, the AP rounds would need to strike the sub underwater, and it's a very hard thing to do, especially since in this case the water act as a serious solid buffer between the sub and the shell... But it can be done, with luck (i did it many times playing Destroyer Command/Silent Hunter II).

Captains do not throw live animals at the ennemy, this is too cruel!
