Today is the 6th of june, 60 years since the day of infamy. This is just to let anyone who may know a vet, or even is one, that we remember the sacrifices made all those years ago. Be it the loss of life for some, or the unbearable terrors and memories of combat for those who returned. This is to let those who served know, your sacrifices were not in vain. We thank you for your valor.

I had the chance to parade infront of a WW2 vet who served in the Royal Canadian Navy onboard a ship during the D-Day landings today. Though many veterans of that invasion are not going to be with us for much longer, we must never forget the sacrifices they made, and were prepared to make, so that the world could live in peace without fear of the Nazi suppression.

Here's to you, the men who gave the world a second chance. Though the body grows frail with years, the spirit lives on.

'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.'
