Tides of War

hi,
I'm on the 4th (i think- lose track of the mission nos. having too much fun trying to get the yanks and hun to start war with each other) of the LFN sub campaign.  My mission is too ONLY destroy the first yank DESRON??!! and run away and hide, what is a DESRON - the only ships in the mission are DE's and DD's so does any one know which type is referred to as a Desron is naval terms?

I think DESRON is short for Destroyer Squadron, but I could be wrong.

Not fully sure on the precise meaning of desron but you have to sink the lot.

DesDiv  = Destroyer Division

SubRon = Submarine Squadron

Ahh i'v been asuming Desron is a turm for a DD.  Did me no harm as i tend to sink ANYTHING that crosses me. 

wow that sounds like a suicide mission. Sub against a destoyer is hard enough, now you have to take on a squadron hehehehe

It's great fun..... fire, dive, evade.....  evade, evade, evade, fire, evade, evade, fire, fire, fire, fire  ooops should have done more evading 

Actually this mission contains 6 DD/DE's.
they come in 2 desrons, you only have to sink the first (2 DD's and 1 DE's if I remembers correct).
