I'm finally allowed to accept donations to keep the radio station on the air (or, over the Net as it may be.) I've put up a PayPal button, and am trying to raise $90 by June 1st to cover the dues due then. If we make it, I'll be rebroadcasting the entire broadcast day of D Day on June 6th. Along about 2:30 am on June 6th, 1944, an engineer realized the rumors were true and the invasion of Europe was on. He started recording, and recorded 23 hours straight of everything that was broadcast at the station. You'll hear reporters walking over to the teletype machines in the pre-dawn hours, military commentators, shows being pre-empted for more news, an address by the President (FDR) and more. Guaranteed to raise goosebumps like you wouldn't believe.

I can also start selling banner ads on the site, but I'd like to get my numbers up above the 600 unique visitors a month we get now

Where do you source your recordings?

Most of the music that is simply songs are bought on CD (over 150 CDs now), and the WWII radio stuff is either bought or traded from OTR collectors. I won't pull anything down from Usenet unless it is public domain. I've worked hard for almost 4 years on the station, and don't need any RIAA lawsuits

Some of the stuff you can order from OTRCAT.com. Jon usually has the best quality of any particular recording that I can find, and I now buy all my stuff from him that I can't find elsewhere.
