I was playing the very first patrol combat mission... something along the lines of 'a walk in the park' or some such name. Can't quite remember just now.

I was playing as the Salmon-class and came across an inordinate amount of buggy things. I'm wondering if some others may have noticed, or if it may eventually come down to my hardware. I am playing on the DreamCatcher-approved US patch for reference.

Most of these I picked up on in spectator view.

First thing I actually noticed a few days ago. On the quad 20mm mount, there's some bit of the mesh that flys up above the gun when it is pointed in certain directions. Kinda funny looking, almost as if the thing sprouts a halo.

Second I noticed that the props on the submarine move backwards. When the ship is moving forwards, the screws rotate to push water the wrong way. Vice-versa in revers-a ;)

Next I shot some torps, both bow and stern, while in spectator using voice command. The first fish out would come from one tube and then the next three would come from the other tube, opposite the first. The other two tubes wouldn't fire at all.

Eventually I surfaced after missing the LFN I-15 that's out in the area. I figured that'd I'd just be bombed into submission by the Sunderlands and fighters that were about. Can you imagine my surprise when I discovered I was invincible? I'll have to admit it did get to my head as I took a bomb hit just before sending a Sunderland into the briney. After clearing the air of Renner aircraft, I dove to 250 meters and hung around for a while. When I finally grew bored of that novelty, I performed a crash dive where finally the hull gave away at around 280 meters or so - all at once.

::Shrug:: I dunno... like the title suggests, I'm a little baffled. Thanks for any input.

The "mesh" is an art bug - we'll have the guys check on it, likewise the props. The tubes are a source of aggravation for me...it will be fixed one of these days...

The invincibility is on purpose for that mission - you can die, but it will take a very long time.
