East, maybe Gerolamo wants to know if there are any differences in file structure that would prevent him from installing one of the currently available voicepacks into the German edition...
BTW: for people interested in having a German set of responses for IGN that will work in the UK/US/AU version, just holler. I'll put them up, in that case. I found it quite nice to hear the crew respond in 'authentic' German naval command style: "Jawohl, Herr Kapt?nLeutnant, Spargel auf! " (periscope up - they called it a Spargel or asparagus).
For people who want to roll their own, here is a list of German naval commands (docfile):

One of the many perks of being Dutch and speaking a few languagues...
I've also managed to compress the available soundpacks to about a tenth of their current size. Makes not only for a faster download (combining packs), but also for faster gameplay, with only the tiniest of degradation in sound quality.
Will put those up this week anyway.

Voicepaks only work with the latest patch.

East: got it. Didn't really play without the patches, so didn't know about that.
Jesper: "Sofort, Herr Fregatten-Kapit?n".

Jesper or East,
2 questions:
1: Why does the SoundMAX codec not support MP3/Layer 3 wav's? They work fine under win98/XP media player, but no go in the game.... would have been nice. Maybe in a new patch? Saves 90% on downloads...
2: Are there any other (undocumented) voice response hooks other than in the commandresponse.txt ? Would be nice to have a list.
I have more sounds than hooks at this point, but would like to make it complete as possible.
(German/German version coming along nicely, will put it up on my on downloadsite asap, possibly even a full setup.exe version for noobs.)
