Wanna know how to beat that annnoying pt boat mission,, you know the second one that u play over and over with no luck?

Well,, heres how i beat it and YES in patrols tatical u can Pilot a battleship

(THe HOOD).

First you have to sink 3 of the 4 subs quickly,, and i mean haul butt.

You have less then a min.

Soon as the mission loads up, clik on your tatical map set your range to max.

You will see a Freindly DE .

Target it tell it to attack one of the two inc enemy DE.

By now you will get the waring that the mission is underway.

YOU have to destroy 3 of the 4 milchovs.

AS soon as you destroy the 3rd Milchov (enemy resupply sub) go to your tatical map, Highlight that friendly DE and tell it to attack the last Milchow.

Also tell your one pt boat that you can give orders to,, to attack the last milchow.

ONce you have done this turn your little boat directly away from the 2 INC enemy

DE's , and haul butt away,,,

I went in the other room and made me a sandwich,, when i came back mission was

completed,, the Friendly DE depth charged the last milchow while under fire.

I will try that fyen.

Already , for the fun of it ,( After completing it ). I have tried sometimes to just ignore the Milchcows , ( and mission objective ! ) , and ordered the other torpedo boats to attack the DEs ; Then headed towards the Raiko , and together taken on the two Lohengrins , plus the enemy sub .

I almost succeeded in drawing enemy bomber fire for own use , by circling directly above enemy sub, and their bombs fell on it !

Surviving long against the Lohengrins isn't easy , but it's a challenge , and I think one Lohengrin was sunk , before self and the Raiko was .

The other torpedo boats never do much . Ramming a milchcow has no effect either .

I will try that fyen.

This mission is also bottering me...gonna try those new tacs tonight...let you know the outcome

Another idea that worked for me. If you want to just forget that 1 minute timescale and trying to get them all on the surface try this.........I got as many as I could on the surface, usually 2 or 3, by which time the rest had dived. Navigate to the location of a dived sub and using your sonar screen align yourself so that you are at right angles to the subs hull when it next surfaces (note the direction of the tips of the arrows on the sonar screen to do this) and maybe set yourself back about 10-20 metres or so (your judgement - not measurable). Now stop all engines and WAIT. If you go off 90 degrees to the sub just turn your rudder to compensate then centre again. DO NOT start your engines if you can help it as the sub will hear you. Eventually the sub will try to surface. You will see the periscope first, which for some reason does not pick up that you are there waiting. After looking around a little the sub will slowly surface further. Have your torps set at 2m depth. If your alignment on the sub hull looks a little off as it surfaces adjust with the rudder and engine off. Judge when the sub is as fully surfaced as it is going to be (they do not always fully surface) and fire torps - congratulations ! your stealth should have paid off - now repeat and rinse on any other subs out there. NOTE: This will only work up to the point where the enemy destroyers get locked onto your position and start shelling,but this should give you a very long time to finish. I finished this after knocking out 2 subs with this method and shells were falling all around me - scary as hell, but fun
