I was just wondering if it will be possible for one side to be wiped out in Multiplayer? i.e. poor fleet managment results in losing all major capital ships/carriers or losing friendly ports etc. Or will power somehow shift between the three factions to keep thing relatively even? (i.e. pirates keep the superpower in line while the little guys recoup their losses)

Yes it will be possible. The LFN could be wiped out or subsumed by Japan. Players will determine that scenario.
Please note, when MP starts it will be "skirmish" or "Combat Action" mode. We will be adding land, etc. as time goes by (and the game funds the development).

So what happens when/if a side is totally destroyed? Do the players still get to play that faction? Is it gone for good, or does it come back? Does that faction's ships become part of the dominating faction's inventory? Ok I'll shut up wave: enigma!:
