I was *very* big into Napoleanics miniatures back in teh day. I even imported the *pewter* 15mm figs and had them professionally painted. Two of the guys I games with were staff at the local library, and we'd take over a meeting room for the weekend and play 18 hours straight sometimes.
We tried Harpoon miniatures once, but moving the ship 1/4" and the Harpoon missile 36" quickly grew boring.

Is that 'modern' as in post WWII navy or just all games in general including PC and Board games ? Personally, anything post WWII, missiles and all that, doesn't grab me at all.

WW2 was better. Missiles take the fun and skill out of things. Combat flight sims are a perfect example of this. It's more fun trying to stick to someones tail, shooting bullets until their wings fall off, than pressing a button as soon as you can see your target and seeing an explosion.

True, although in naval wargames when things become boring is when it all revolves around carriers!!

Totally agree on that one - might as well be a flight sim when it gets to carrier warfare, there are already too many planes in ERT!

Hey everyone !
Im really pleased to see Enigma multiplayer in Full swing. I honestly think that once ERT goes live and the initial bugs are worked out, we are all in for one heck of a game and good time. Keep up the good work . And with the release of the gold edition thats tellin me that the live version is getting closer and closer.
I take you have gotten a new lead programmer and from the pace things are going
sounds like hes dam good too.
