This is a small community of people that some don't even read these forums and then you guys are going to try and change things around?
At no time in the history of AA all the pilots taking part in leagues were reading forums. It still is the job of the C/O or X/O to ensure the pilots of their squads are aware of the actual rules.
And again: it?s not a big deal to change rules in order to adapt to current situations. If certain individuals always have to figure out how to gain an unfair advantage for their squad(s) and how to avoid certain rules, the rules need to be adjusted.

The tag issue is you have to have atleast your reg tag in there so people know who you are as we do
[-Terror-]_FURY, when all you bastages shoot me you know who I am but by just looking at me all you see is [-Terror-]. Thats the way it should be so no hunting is involved,
It is an advantage. I'm sorry, but for example, if your playings..............Tigers. I will personally take out G7 first. Not because i hate/target him first, because i know hes more of a threat (no trying to hurt any other tigers feelings =D)
So if ALL Ts names are hidden in mid air, it may say on log we've hit Terror Fury, but saying that on TS, means nothing, as distinguishing who Fury was is impossible. I find that bull.
The only way forward, ALL do it which i hope is not the case, or NONE do it.
I never said it wasn't an advantage as you all have [WASHIPS]_WHATEVER so no one can see your name. I see what your saying though as far as whos hit and whos not hit cuz you don't know where they went while passing, well again thats the advantage I guess or feking kill your target the 1st pass ;P.....but with most squads going to this tactic the advantage is gone as both teams (most) fly with tags this way and again no one has bitched about this in the past until now? Oh well too bad so sad, if other squads don't change there tags so good for them, SO WHAT!!!!

Fury and Noodles too: I haven?t said with one word, pinning should be disallowed. BS
Pinning the opposing base was always part of the game and always will be. I was merely talking about the hard and mercyless pin, where pilots getting attacked and killed immediately after the wheels of their planes have losened from ground. Do the ropes, close the exits to all cardinal points, do net let them up but for gods sake let them start and gain some speed, so they have at least a fair chance to avoid, if you really need to come down within AA-range to do the kills.
This is what I?m talking about and nothing else. In my point of view it is in the same way unsporting and frustrating as runway-killing is and should be treated the same way, covered by rules.
Oh well I can deal with that, I thought you ment no pin. Cant shoot anyone comming off the runway anyway that means your in the aa and aa is tearing you apart!

Fury, did you say you would quit playing if the rules were amended and you had to fly as TS_Fury instead of -[Terror]-Fury in League matches?
Where did I say that?

You didn't in so many words, but:
.5. When you start trying to enforce rules like these (nit-picking) the game will go south, there are to many other games out there for people to play,
That is why I am asking, as I am not sure what you meant.

The previous problems with Pinning involved that Ratio counted if the two teams were tied, whereas in this 2xsquad is does not.
However, if your are GE first, you may pin say upto 50points then edge off, but may have terrible gb / su half and get pinned and eventually loose 2nd and 3rd point. I know this would be rare, but in that case you'd think oh crap we eased off pin too early and cost us the game.
For the hard pining, i concur, i hate it. In all honesty, if WS played a lesser squad we always tend to ease off the pin definately in friendlies, 2xsquad im not so sure as Ratio points use to count.
As far as imposing a rule on it, i agree, but as i said above, its hard to put in. When does the Hard Pin count? If your GE first, should you still ease off not knowing what the second half will bring?
I'd like to hear suggestions of what kind of rule to impose. Say a 50 point gap, ease off kind of thing.

I havent thought about such a rule yet. I 1st wanted to hear your (all) opinion(s) on that.
I wouldn?t restrict such a rule to the amount of awarded kills/ points. I think we all know to which extend a pin is fair and at what point, it starts to get unfair. It?s nice to kill a plane stalling in a rope, it is nice to catch an escaper but it isn?t nice to kill a plane right after takeoff or whily taxiing on the runway (would be a runway-kill anyway).
We had this discussion a couple month back already and I got asked, how we would observe the adherence of such a rule.
I think it?s in the same way to supervise, as runway - killing is. A screenhot or a replay showing the status of the attacked plane and it?s current speed (lets say gears still out and speed is less than 260). But there is a good chance of abusing this rule again because landing planes might also have its gears out and the same speed and you can?t tell if the attacked plane was landing or at takeoff. So we need a more unambiguously evidence. Suggestions ?
If a player provides such evidence, the awarded kill(s) getting deducted afterwards.

My 2 cents,
"SIMPLICITY"
Competition + Human Nature = Controversy
Try to reinvent the light bulb, might get better results.
Luv this chit.........

As with any competition also in Air Attack are many emotions (good and bad) involved. Nothing wrong with that.
The problem is: the rules aren?t perfect. If it is 2 squad, 4 squad, KTF or whatever event/ league, there are rules in place.
They said: ?keep ?em easy?, ?not too many? etc. pp. The problem is, there are still lots of flaws within the rules. So called ?grey areas?.
As I said in a previous post, tactics should be restricted to the playing ground (map), the skill of the pilots and the specs of the planes (and not f.e. the names of the players, written on the back of their jerseys). So should be the rules.
Add some rules regarding behaviours/ manners and off you go.
But the ?grey areas?offering space for new invented tactics. Good ones and unfortunately also bad ones. The rules have to be adjusted to these new invented tactics and this is why we are here, discussing.
As with every discussion there are already 2 main-opinions and some shades of them. In a democracy you always have the possibility to poll it out but I would like to discuss to an interim end.
The competitions are the ?heart?of our beloved game. It?s the competiton, where a ?newbee? gets hooked to the game or not.
The game formats are well but its rules are obviously not. A couple rules are left to interpretation and a couple are even missing, I think. I want to stuff these holes and who else could do it better but the fellow players, playing this game ?
Otherwise I?d would vote for separate leagues: one for profs (vets) and one for amateurs (newbees and fun-players).
The problem is, we haven?t enough players/ squads for such a split, so we need to make competitions and its rules fun for everyone and not only those, who?re having the skill.
Sometimes we have to subordinate our personal needs, for the favour of a bigger thing.

Excellent point Tulla.
I fear there is no option for the remainder of this 2 sqd league, but for the future, I suggest that how ever many pilots a sqd starts with the first half, (which will be even with other sqd anything over the minimum[6 now] number of pilots) that the same number of pilots start the 2nd half regardless of anything.
It simply is just not fair to field more GE than GB/SU. The tactic to do so to yield the 3rd point for the overall win in a match just doesnt settle well with the reason we fly in the first place.
Another way to solve this is to not decide what nations everyone starts till all pilots are in the arena. Not time efficient, but will eliminate such stuff..... just a thought.
As for tags, hehe....who cares ? TKFM fly their tags..come and kill us!! Why hide?
