Yea, but blowing things up gets boring sometimes. I'd like a wee bit of challenge, lads. Perhaps a more "I want to blow things up" difficulty setting as well as a "Oober Real" setting would be nice. If you're in it to blow things up, though, ERT perhaps isn't the best place to look. Nice effects, yea, but a bit more yellow and more variety would be nice. I hate seeing the same black smoke in the same direction every time. Oh, well. Still a great game.
Hunting AI's is interesting. They won't drop charges above 15m, so just stay inbetween 15 and their hull and you're fine as long as one doesn't hit you. Then all you have to do is surface, fire all your torps and dive again so your torps surface in time, but dive before they can get their 5" on you.

I don't think the game I want exist.
Back in the 90's there was a Super Nintendo game concerning the Pacific fleets of the US and Japan during WWII. The goal was to win the war. The player had plenty of options before him, such as assigning ships to fleets and tasks forces, repairing ships at bases that could, building new ships, attacking, capturing, and defending bases, producing aircraft, recruiting soldiers, producing transports and cargo ships, supplying bases, research new technologies and refit ship. The player was in charge of the 1st fleet and could issue orders, perform drills, rest the crew, take R and R, attack enemy fleets and bases, and much more.
I have never run across a PC game like it, and it beats the hell out of just blowing up ships. Dreamcatcher's Super Power is close but to quite.

I liked Superpower, but it had bugs. I might buy Superpower II, though. Supposedly improved.

It can be as long as 15 minutes (it uses a random number to pick between 8 mins and 15 mins)
