Actually I have a 9700pro 3.10 cat drivers and tried with no sound to no avail.
Why don't you upgrade to the latest 3.9 Catalyst drivers?

Aye, 3.7's seem to be most stable for most people on ATI's although I use the 3.9's with my card and everything seems to work fine. Give it a go it could work

first time to get full soundtrack but only available outside north america>>
so what did north america get for soundtrack?
pardon the questions, but with so many changes, would you consider putting a web addition up to explain each section of the world ( USA, Aussie, Euro), the type of version it gets, and help us to see the difference, and plans, and current status for each release?

There will be a Gold Edition of Enigma Q1 2004 that includes all the feature patches, an updated look, some exclusive features including a mission generator and a couple of surprises.
Will the mission generator and "couple of surprises" be available by patch to those of us that already purchased the game?
It will also be the first time you will be able to get the full soundtrack - it will be included. This however will only be available outside of North America/Canada.
Why is this? Why not also make the sound tracks available for download via the WEB?

I can answer that, metinks
1: The Gold Edit. will be available for purchase only, just like any other game that comes as Gold.
2: Soundtrack will be available for purchase, if you dont buy the Gold Edit. Hence the reason that it isnt
free download

I thought the same thing when I saw the anouncement of the 3.10 drivers. I thought it meant 3.01 but it's 3.10 as in 3.8, 3.9, 3.10 3.11 etc.

There are many games whose gold edition is nothing more than a fully patched up to date version.
Missing out on the ability to have an editor is a nasty surprise.
Will there at lease be an ability to upgrade for a fee to the gold edition equivalent?

No thanks. Does TAG really see a market in selling the game's soundtrack separately?
Still doesn't answer the question why the soundtracks will not be available in the US?

ugh

, Definatly an odd way of doing things, I was expecting 4.0's to be the name not 3.10 Strange people

Let me try and clear the picture up a little bit:
1) Dreamcatcher doesn't want to release a Gold version.
2) Europe, Japan, Australia will release the Gold version.
3) The patch can't contain all the functionality of the Gold version, otherwise there is no incentive for the Foreign publishers to release it.
4) We are still trying to stay alive so we can finish multiplayer. The lawsuit has made life pretty difficult for us. The Gold will replace Enigma on the shelves in Europe.
5) The soundtrack isn't available for free because we pay royalties on it's distribution - free or pay.
6) Our goal is to eventually upgrade all versions to the same level, it just has to be done in a way that protects the investment the publishers are making in the game.
7) The Gold edition features will become available in North America at some point - we just have to find our way through the hoops to get there.
Incidently, you probably wonder why we have so many publishers? GMX was originally going to be licensed for the entire world - all territories. They royally botched the preparations for the North American release - I can't give details yet - they made a side deal with us that they backed out on - we went with Dreamcatcher. It became apparent that GMX wasn't releasing Enigma properly so their territory was restricted to The European Union - allowing us to try and broaden distribution on our own. Hence, a number of different publishers, versions and some confusion for the customer.
I wish it had gone differently, but then I wish we hadn't had to sue GMX for 1.7 Million Dollars and spend our development money on attorneys.
Everyone needs to calm down and recognize that we have never left our players behind and we won't do it now. You just have to see a little past the "me me me" thing and look at our track record so far. It may take us longer than we plan sometimes to deliver, but we always deliver.
That reminds me, the Canadian copies finally go out this coming week. I'll be glad when the "Gigex" thing is over.

REEEEEEALLY looking forward to the patch. Not that I think the game is lanking at all, but rather because the updates look awesome.
You guys have done a great job with this game. I am normally disappointed with naval action/sim games, but this one is fantastic. I have recommended this to friends who have become as addicted as I am. Keep up the great work and keep the faith.
