Don't give up yet Commander, the upcoming patch should make it substantially easier to make it through.

The missions were meant to really tax your tactical planning and execution abilities. Unlike other games, we made the patrols the easier missions, the campaigns harder. The medium patrol missions are generally the easy Campaign missions, the hardest patrol missions are just the moderate Campaigns.

It is always difficult to hear that we have discouraged a player with our strategy. On the otherhand, we have also received criticism that many of the campaign missions were too easy.

Nothing like a win/win.....

Just too reassure you. Personnally just because i cant do something never takes away my enjoyment as I like a challenge:) I like the game my only main problem with it is finding time to play as my computer has to be located in the same room as my TV which means I cant play using Voice commands when my GF is around cos she finds it annoying:) I know that Voice command is a key feature and to me it seems that it gives more control over aspects of the game such as setting depth charges, if key control could be taken to the same level as voice command may help:)

Buy your GF a pair of comfortable cordless headphones, connect the base to the TV's headphone jack and command away!

Enhanced mouse/key control is, I believe, on the slate for the next update. Leastaways, I hope so for I too don't always have an environment where its socially acceptable to talk to my computer!

That is truely good to hear that the key functionality my be enhanced!!

I really must drag myself from the Age of Sail into the Age of Turbines and turrets for more practice with 20th Century Naval Tactics:)

We are a small studio that released a game that has only about 33% of the refinement and development that we wanted it to have.  We are addressing this by releasing feature patches and upgrades about every 3 months - for FREE.  The UK already had their first one, the US is about to get theirs.  This includes another balance pass through the missions, adding content after a mission would normally end and adding Battleships and perhaps a carrier to your potential adversaries in the Patrol missions.  You will even be able to command a Battleship should you achieve sufficient rank in the campaigns.
@East

East, you mention that the UK and the US have different patches available or coming.

Is there anyway of identifying which retail version we got in Australia?

Thanks...Warspite
