Hi,
Well I'm not saying that i won't run into MC with you guys. By all means if we get 40 people i will cetainly go with you. The thing is that i feel we won't come far and that it will be a big dissapointment for people. I don't think that we will get to the first boss, let alone kill in the state our group is in now. And that means we have a very little change on nice phat loots (although epics sometimes do drop from trash mobs in there)
I'm not saying i know how it should be done (not by far), but i've been in a MC raid and in a ZG raid with a team that is succesful. I've seen how they act and been to a few ZG raids with Seikou. There's a big difference between those 2 groups.
Like i said that is not a problem. They are in no way 'better' then us. They had to work on it too (and are still working) to get to where they are.
I just don't see the point in getting to MC (which takes alot of planning/effort to get enough people) just to get our ass kicked by the first trash mobs and have everyone leave with a bad feeling. I think some people might think 'he we are with 40 people in there, what can they do' (i did before i was there) but believe me numbers alone just won't do the trick.
With Seikou we didn't even get the batlady in ZG down in 5(?) attempts and with the Vexilium team we did it in their first ever attempt. The only difference was that they all knew what to do, beacuse they played alot together. They had a raid leader who read up on strategies and told that to everyone. Everyone in that group followed orders, which is something i didn't see in Seikou. There were simply too many people in Seikou doing there own thing (mind you there were people doing the right thing) like we were fighting a normal mob.
I even got a tell immidiately for by accident targeting the wrong tanks target once. I'd been targeting the right one for alot of mobs before that and the minute i started bolting the wrong target (according to the startegy they used) they told me! That's what makes them succesfull. Because the majority of the team knew what to do and when to do it they could keep an eye on me and tell me what i did wrong. I wouldn't want to start with that in Seikou
I will try to make up a sort of a strategy guide (very general) later on how they act as a team. I think it might be helpfull for everyone. And maybe Deathawaits can alter that and add things from his experience with that team.
The thing is that ZG and MC shouldn't be hard at all (hence the 'farming' status some guilds have in MC) as long as things run smoothly and everyone knows what to do. After that it's just figuring out what startegy/abbilities a mob/boss uses and react to that. Once you know the trick for a mob, he becomes easy (like the snake boss in ZG for Seikou)
Hey but if you go, i go thats for sure!
