1) How do you tell which edition you have?
2) For some bizarre reason, the sound of my headset being adjusted causes the AI to fire a Torpedo forward. Why?

(1) Does the Box/Case show a picture of a Sub with a plane going over (Euro version) or a Battlecruiser with planes going over (US version)? In game, if you go to preferences, there is an option for "stabilize camera" which is only in the US version, not the (unpatched) UK version.
(2) I suggest you re-run the speech training software. Sounds like its interpretting the noise of the headset being adjusted as "Fire!"

I think I have the patched UK version, because the box has a Catalina bombing a surfaced U-Boat, and in there is an option for "stabilize camera" in preferences.(1) Does the Box/Case show a picture of a Sub with a plane going over (Euro version) or a Battlecruiser with planes going over (US version)? Its very easy to determine. the UK version show a blue gmx logo when you start it up. and it defaults to install in c:\program files\gmxmedia\enigma rising tide and it creates a start menu group as start->programs->gmxmedia->enigma rising tide.
I would think that the US/CAN version replaces all the gmx with dreamcatcher and the Aussie version uses Auran instead of gmx.
++++ the 100MB downloadable patch ONLY works for the UK version.
