Actually Kadreal, 1 DD couldn't take a single skilled pilot. At least I'm pretty sure. It's just in the game the planes are really weak, because if they were as strong as they really are, you'd just die all the time and it wouldn't be all that fun for a while.

Well the main flaw with the bombers in the game is that they attempt to bomb a ship from level flight. Not a good idea. A better one is to dive bomb a ship. Not only do most ships have an AA blind spot 90 degrees up but it's also much easier to actually hit the boat with the bomb using this method.

i dissagree about the bombers, usualy from what ive seen bombers drop torpedos from the hold instead of bombs, and flight would bring multiplayer way up,there could be a ship brigade, and a sub brigade andf an air squadron, and everything else you get the gist, and the flight arrangements, sre very strange, usualy there is a organized squad coming escorting a bomber, and you might think that it may be easy shooting down planes youre wrong, i play air brigade in cfs3, which has vetry good targeting by ships, if you know how to manuver, and syat at certain altitudde until striking point, you can easily sink a criuser

Once again referencing to another game, however. All games have their flaws, even MS Flight Sim has flight errors. I do agree bombing should be performed by diving, but as long as I'm captain of the defending ship, I don't mind. Torpedooes are also used, yes, it depends on which ship you are attacking what kind of weapon you use. I'm pretty sure torps are fired mostly flat (although from a slight ^ angle), however from a distance to insure safety from the AA. Of course, no plane has infinite ammo and I would hope that covering one another or developing flight patterns for re-fueling/ammo would be something the players are heading for. Voice communication is a + for this.

I earlier stated creating a flight engine might present some issues, but it looks like they're going for it anyways. To be clear, I'm not against it, I was jut suggesting some issues they might have. I'd love to take a break from getting DC'd 250m down and get a chance to fire back.

if there wasnt that blasted problem of those extremely accurate auto targeting guns, the aircraft would be more of a threat

I'm perfectly fine with that. They don't spend 2 years training for nothing. The problem is the planes are just underdone - they should really have more health and stronger weapons. We should actually move this to the planes thread... think they talk more about the under-representation there.

I understand. I'm just saying if we were to talk about it, that would be the place to go.

I mentioned adding minelayers and minesweepers once. The concensus was that it would be too difficult, not to mention dangerous, to implement them.
