For those that have the USA/Canada retail boxed version of the game before any patches whatsoever, there is a very good soundtrack.

I dont know if it is considered full or not. I dont kow how many different tracks "compositions" there are.

I dont know if the GOLD retail boxed version is completely new music, or new music along with original retail boxed music making it "additional soundtracks", or what the new total number of "compositions" will be.

All I know is that you cannot get certain soundtracks if you download the GOLD patch and apply it to the original retail boxed version.

But logic tells me that the original soundtrack will still be there. Right? So would you mind explaining just why anybody would be missing any soundtracks if everyone has to either:

A: buy ORIGINAL retail boxed game and patch it with gold patch = still have original soundtracks..

B. buy GOLD retail box avoiding all patches, and have complete soundtracks...

Sounds to me like you have orchestrated it so everyone is in tune.. Whats the difference? Who would B sharp, and who would B flat? Sorry if this is all confusing to some, but im sure you will elegantly transpose it for third row.

Retail version 2.x doesnt have all the tracks, only 4 or 5 which you have to play the game to hear. Applying the gold patch doesnt change that.

Int. Gold version 3.x comes with all the tracks (hence the "incl full OST") which can be obtained from the menu in E:RT.

EDIT: There is 17 tracks available on the Gold CD, they can be decompressed from the Game Menu to *.wav files.

except from the last one they can there after be converted to *.mp3 but track 17 doesnt seems to be a pcm file, tho it plays fine, audiocatalyst failed to convert it.

So, in order to complete this discussion for someone who has not yet bought any version... and there are a few waiting on the sidelines.. it seems to me the following should help clear it up.

The original retail boxed version has 4-5 soundtracks you can hear while playing the game, but does not have a built in menu item to decompress them..

The gold retail box version will have 17 soundtracks, and does have a menu item to decompress them..

So basically the gold version has maybe 12 new tracks and 5 original ones.. but in either case the original tracks are the same.

If they are able to be decompressed they can be played off your own cdrom if you have a burner, or copied to an mp3 player for playback anytime..
