That's neat. But feeling metaphysical, I've gotta ask- "never sunk anything"- isn't a submerged Unterseeboot already sunk?

How about "never put anything under the water that didn't want to be there?"

Grandfathers' only story today was about a gunnery crew on one ship he served on. The cannons had fired to the point the barrel was red hot, and when they loaded the projective (bullet) it exploded and scoured the entire inside of the turret. Ewwww.
