And in some cases what does it matter if you dont meet anyone to kill out there in the ocean?
In IW, sometimes you did have to switch sides just to have something to fight. I guess Enigma:Deathmatch will allow similar changes of allegiance with no penalty.

Yeah i would agree with that. i would have thought that only the career mode would make you stick to your given side.

So why settle for LAN when you can join what is going to be the largest online naval game since Iron Wolves? :)
In my case, LAN is always on top due to a lossy aDSL connection and my five siblings. buxton:

They should have a free standard non-carreer multiplayer version for times when you want a small part of the ocean all to yourself and your friends, for example for clan wars, but I for the poll I support both options.

I would only support the Career Mode Multiplayer.

Why?

Generally said I am a Sim Player.

I play World War 2 Online currently and I hope the Enigma will give me what WWIIOL doesnt:

- Naval Gameplay which consists of more then camping enemy towns with DDs while the enemy ground troops have nothing to fight back and air can't really harm you due to the bad damage model

- more then 2 ships (it does already ;))

- persistant ships, why are really are produced with a countries resources, if I sink a BB I want to have accomplished something and don't want to see a new spawn 30 seconds later

- reasons to fight, I don't want to sink enemy ships just for the heck of it, when I sink an enemy freighter I want to say to myself "this could have been 2 torpedo boats which could have sunken me in two weeks"

- French ships! I hate the german tincans ;)

However I hope it offers what WWIIOL offers as well:

- a "bigger picture", I don't want endless fighting without an end, I want a way to win to win a round and if its just by "controlling 80% of the sealanes"

- the "bigger picture" should be player controlled, I want player controlled command structures (or high commands ;)) making the dicisions where to send which fleet and which route to use for supply

- one server with a persistant gameworld, I want to stay up in the morning and see what my american comrades accomplished over the night

- I want the ocean modelled on a 1:1 scale ;)

Short Version: I want to play a real war and not Quake on the Water ;)

Oh, and 1$ for 24h is way to much.

Most online games don't cost more then 15$ a month.

He means $1 for a combined total of 24 hours. That means you could play one hour a day for 24 days for $1.

Actually the $1 ticket is for people who don't play everyday, probably 4 or 5 times a month. It lets you come on and play when you want and only buy new tickets when you are out. The clock starts counting down once you have started it. It doesn't stop.
